Was Pizza Hut Park once known as Dr. Pepper/7-Up Stadium? I was on Holiday Inn's website looking to make a reservation at the HI Express and in the list of things nearby it says that stadium is 2 miles away. I just want to make sure I'm in the right place, the HI Express I'm looking at is on Preston Road in Frisco.

Willing to trade ALMOST anything for some food!
How about a case of beer and a few big bags of chips?
That's it?

Seems a little TOO easy, but OK, works for us!
gingerbreadman, i'm still enjoying that professional quality CD of last year's concert that you provided to Hoot Islanders last year. The acoustics on the lawn weren't that great and it was nice to hear everything i missed. Looking forward to meeting ya!

Different stadium. DP is the baseball stadium & Pizza Hut is the soccer one. Dr Pepper is on the south border of Frisco & Plano & Pizza Hut is north of it; maybe 3 miles. (center of Frisco).

Thanks frog. I should have kept reading, I just looked at the website again and Pizza Hut Park is the last thing on the list of things nearby. It says it's 2 1/2 miles away.

Christine - I did a quick (and thoroughly unscientific) rate check this morning. Went to the website for 3 of the hotels mentioned and this was the lowest rate I found.....

Holiday Inn Express .... 113
Embassy Suites .... 139
Hampton Inn .... 99

All have complimentary breakfast (ES is made-to-order) and all appear to have high speed internet access.
(((((((((((((((BITS)))))))))))))))) Thanks! i will work on bookin that tomorrow!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Name sounds (and looks) great! I'm making travel plans and stuff now! I think I will actually end up being +3 (myself, hubby, great phriend who scored the four tickets while I was at work, her boyfriend), but only know +1 for now. (We might be selling the extra tix-face value on BN, of course.) I will so be contributing something, just need to talk to people and stuff! I am so happy about this!!!

I think it's just phantastic that you guys are looking out for us out-of-towners! I moved up here to Maine in October, but I haven't missed a Dallas show in quite a while, so...this is GREAT! I will miss George, my giant shark phriend, but he will have to stay in the basement for this show! (How do I put a pic after my sig? If I can figure it out, I'll post George there!)

Have to run! Corona Brothers show tonight (JB cover band-meeting some other BN'ers and PHC of Maine there). Later~

I booked at the HI earlier today (for Fri/Sat) ..... I just checked a few minutes ago and it looks like the selection is smaller now (nothing at the $113 rate).

Cool! And thanks! Always makes me happy to know when people enjoy my efforts.

And you were at Hoot Island last year... the party of near epic proportions, we probably crossed paths but didn't know it. Try again this year!
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

Bill,
Wife (Flip Flop Teacher) and I (1 Phor the Road) live in Arlington but will be staying at the Embassy Suites in Frisco Sat. night. I'll be able to bring a pickup load of whatever we need but, as you said, only one trip this year. Put us down for Ice, Beer, 12' x 12' free standing cover and tarps (to use if it rains) Trash bags, Trash bag holder, Fire extinguisher, Generator (small 2900 kw) with gas, bag of charcoal, 40+ burger patties and a Pirate flag with pole. Let me know what else we need.

I'll put you down for drinks for the blenders. Let's say 4-5 bottles of alcohol with enough mixers and ice.

To keep anyone from having to cook all day, we'll need people to share time flipping burgers and cooking hot dogs. This is who I'm putting down so far. Let me know if you're willing to help out and I'll add you to the list.
