I agree as long as we don't get the monsoon that we were greeted with last year. I guess it could have been worse though. It could have been that weather and not been Jimmy performing.MeglovesBuffett wrote:OH NO!! OMG!!! That weather last year was AWFUL!! Funny thing was that the rain stopped once Jimmy came on..........by that time everyone was covered with mud and soaked!! But I wasn't gonna let stop me! I wondered the next day how in the heck I kept that brand new white tour shirt I bought "mud-free"!!! It was sooo much fun though, HifiBuys probably found a thousand pair of flip flops stuck in the mud throughout the lawn!!Nole Pirate wrote:I agree as long as we don't get the monsoon that we were greeted with last year. One of those pairs was mine as I lost them when I slid down the hill. It seems to be a tradition for me to get soaked at outdoor concerts in Atlanta. A few years ago, another monsoon hit Music Midtown and I got soaked at that one as well.MeglovesBuffett wrote:OMG!!! That weather last year was AWFUL!! The hill got mine too!! But you can't beat any outdoor Atlanta concerts!! I can't wait til this year, but I'm praying he'll be at Hifi, this time without the rain!! Did you go to the Tallahassee show a few weeks ago?Nole Pirate wrote:One of those pairs was mine as I lost them when I slid down the hill. So we live in the same city...
Were both in Atlanta....
Talked to Cuervo....Decided us 3 are going to be our own PH club here..
Ah man I am ready for work to end today (sad part is that it won't end until around 9 tonight, but I digress) so that I can enjoy my new porch with a big burger and a cold margarita.

We drove down for the concert....never been to Tallahassee, the concert was awesome, but I don't know about that city!! It was the first concert that I had ever seen him indoors, we had great seats....I could actually see his face without using a tv!!!Nole Pirate wrote:Yes I did and had a blast. I think it was because I have never been there and just didn't know the area.....it was like I couldn't find anything, oh and the hotel we stayed at was in the scary part of town. I take it you went to FSU??Nole Pirate wrote:Conolulu, we need to have drinks sometime.
Meg, what about Tallahassee didn't you like? I ask b/c I love the city (of course I went to school there). It takes some getting used to on the roads and everything if you have never been there.

Yep. When I first moved to Tallahassee I couldn't find anything either and took me a little while to learn the roads, so I can understand the frustration with that. Sounds like you stayed on the southside of Tallahassee?MeglovesBuffett wrote:I think it was because I have never been there and just didn't know the area.....it was like I couldn't find anything, oh and the hotel we stayed at was in the scary part of town. I don't know what side of town it was on, it was right by FSU, but where brevard meets tennessee st. (those may be the wrong names....). Some parts looked nice, but I just couldn't find anything. Put it this way, I asked the lady in the hotel lobby where somewhere good to eat was, and she responded "there's a burger king right down the road..." LOL!!! Buffett was awesome though!!Nole Pirate wrote:Yep. Yeah that isn't the best hotel and you were really close to French town. Sorry about that. You should have went to Momo's pizza right behind the Cold Stone ice cream place or even over to Pensacola Street for Gordo's (cuban food) or Po Boys (cajun). Oh well. Next time he plays in Tallahassee I will give you some good information on where to go.MeglovesBuffett wrote:I don't know what side of town it was on, it was right by FSU, but where brevard meets tennessee st. I don't remember the rain ever stopping, maybe for a few minutes but it started up again and rained the rest of the night. Luckily we were in the reserved seats (albeit uncovered) but leaving after the show, that was messy.MeglovesBuffett wrote:OMG!!! That weather last year was AWFUL!! We had a wreck in the rain on the way to the Atlanta show last year and missed everything. I'm still holding a grudge. A Wed show seems awful strange and almost impossible to schedule. I wonder if we'll get more confirmed dates tomorrow with the Bristow show supposedly being announced. . .

Well maybe I thought it did, but I really don't remember much after the concert starting...... All I know is that it was raining and raining and raining, and I was MUDDY!!PJ wrote:I don't remember the rain ever stopping, maybe for a few minutes but it started up again and rained the rest of the night.
