I just read this... went to LiveNation... and bought a single! Way off to the side, but front row!UWParrot wrote:Live nation seems to be the way to go. Ticketmaster was sold out in a matter of minutes, but Live Nation was bringing up tickets for about 1/2 hour!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say

Also went with LiveNation. Can't say enough good things about this. Seems way better than TM. Got 4 seats for Alpine and 6 for Tinley in the first 4 minutes. Thanks to BN for the tip!Tiki Bar wrote:I just read this... went to LiveNation... and bought a single! Way off to the side, but front row!UWParrot wrote:Live nation seems to be the way to go. Glad to hear that. Be prepared however that that ticket could be obstructed view. A few years back I had tickets in about the 7th row, but way off to the side, such that you couldn't really see much of the stage. We found an empty spot in 7th row middle & snuggled in. Just made sure we were real nice to the people around us, & never left to get a beer, use the bathroom, etc.Tiki Bar wrote:I just read this... went to LiveNation... and bought a single! Alpine :(
I was online right at 10am and I did get lawn tickets, but that isn't really what I was looking for, so I let them go to someone who wanted them more. Is there any way to get tickets at a decent price now? I am guessing no. Last year we found some about 2 mos before the concert, but they were still around $300 each. This would be our second year and we really want to go. Any ideas?
Also, is there ever presales for Alpine?

I went back over 1 hour after they went on sale. Got 4 Sec 101 row m. I'm stoked. Last year shut out. this year I'm seeing Jimmy. tm still sucks. I called while I was on-line. Some pimple faced kid couldn't understand what I was talikng about. After 5 minutes he said "sold out" He was saying "midwest Bank center? I kept say Alpine Valley it's in Wisc. Patience pays off! It makes Chgo seem a little warmer.

so are we getting better at getting tickets or did the fact that this show follows chicago by only a week make more spots up for grabs. Last year this thread was full of people cursing the ticketmaster name, now not so much...I know livenation may have made a differnce for some, but seems odd that not more people got 'shut out'...
