Be very aware of these scum. Granted I could make a profit probably if I wanted but I would rather party with BNR's in the lot before hand. TN rapes us enough.
Thoughts?
Good work. I just joined myself last year and exchanged
tickets with a fellow BN'er through the mail and met with
another in person to buy some extra ones he had. These were
for the Star Lake and Camden shows and everything went kosher.
I'd hate to see someone infiltrate the ranks and try to
ruin a good thing. I'm going try like crazy to get tickets again
this year and if i score any extra you can bet they will be on
the BN ticket exchange. Just wondering what's holding up
the announcements.

I'd like to know how the ticket brokers already have tickets on sale for Nissan before I can even get them through TM.

All I am saying is be careful on who you sell them to. If you want to sell them for face, sell them to a fan. If you want to make money, sell them on Ebay or to a broker.
last year on eBay, I got two sets of tickets for face and fees or below. just one of those things, got lucky I guess.

I just had to respond to the message about newcomers. I admit I just joined yesterday. I am ashamed to say I had never heard of this. I promise you it doesn't make me any less of a fan. I adore him and love his concerts. That is why I was surfing yesterday looking for tickets cuz I got screwed by TM. As I stated on another forum on this website, my son is going to college and we wanted to have one last big party before he goes and now that is done. So if you are out there and have tickets for AV, please don't think that just because I just joined I am not a real fan, just not a very thorough web surfer.

Good for you whale63, and welcome. That's exactly how many people find BN...looking for tickets. I think the jist of mpls' post is to check who you're selling them to first...if the phone is answered at a broker's office, you may choose not to make that sale.
Good luck finding tickets and have some fun on BN!

That was the jist of my post. If you want to make a buck more power to you. If you want someone to enjoy the show and not rape them over the coals and feel good about what you did that's even better.
Back in 2005 for the pre-party in Vegas I happened to win the costume contest. 2 lower level tickets that went for $160 a piece. I already had good seats so after the contest everybody was coming up to me looking to buy them. I turned down quite a bit of money until one nice man and his 12 year old daughter came up to me and wanted them. I asked her what her favorite Jimmy songs were and she said Delany Talks to Statues and Little Miss Magic. They got the tickets for face value.

There is another reason why tickets are so hard to come by. For most performers, you go see them once a year, maybe once in a lifetime, and that is fine.
But "those crazy parrotheads" go to many concerts a year, and go to concerts year after year after year. So, instead of just local folks and the brokers competing for tickets, you add fans from all over the country who are travelling great distances to go to multiple shows.

nope..
Show at Alpine, picked up the week of the show as a surprise.. even included hospitality room passes that we did not use because Capt. P was throwing a better party. Got Pav. seats almost dead on on the stage, for less than face.
Tampa show, got two tickets for Candy and Jackie as a mother-daughter bonding thing before Jackie left for Boston on eBay for face and fees from a girl who lives just north of Tampa.

Cincy'sOwnDrunk wrote:One of the reasons concerts sell out so quick is because of subscription seating. I know at Riverbend in Cincy you can pay a couple of thousand $$ and get tickets for all or most of the shows. A lot of corps do this for their employees. They used to offer a series package that I used to have. It included JB and 3 other acts. Had the same seats every year for about 4 years. Then they did away with it for this yearly subscription. Now there are only a couple of thousand seats that are even for sale in th Pavilion. I suspect many other venues do something similar.
Jones Beach does this too
