Last year Mac played a gig the night before... maybe something like that will occur again. It was a good time and lots of BNers were there. I'm sure there will be something in the works for the night before the closer to show time we get.maufro wrote:Where might be a good time for Friday night? This is our 1st time in Chicago.

That would be awesome, haven't seen Mac since he played West Palm in '02 between JB shows. Great time, too bad Jimmy didn't make the trip across bridge. Tina & Nadira and Peter did perform, which was very cool.habourgirl wrote:Last year Mac played a gig the night before... maybe something like that will occur again. Party on Monday before the Indy Concert
Hey I was wondering there will be a group of us coming up for the Indy concert on Monday (the day before). We have got a package deal from Holiday Inn Express in Fishers that includes food, drink and transportation to and from the concert. My question is will there be anything going on Monday, July 23 (the day before the concert)? I live in Kentucky but I am org. from Anderson, Indiana. I have family that said sometimes there is a pre-concert party at CIP. Does anyone know of any parties or gatherings for Monday? Us Kentucky PH would love for something great to do the night before. Any information is greatly appreciated.

We're currently booked at an adjacent hotel but might want to switch after seeing the details for the HIE.
Thanks!

Bus for Buffett
There is a two hour pre party and I recall it started 3:00/3:30 something like that. When we arrived at the concert I remember having enough time to walk around and tailgate. I went to grade school in Anderson. I attended Southview and Franklin. Of course Franklin has been torn down. My dad was transferred when I finished the 6th grade. He worked for General Motors. I have a ton of family that still lives there. I actually just got back from Anderson, my grandfather passed away. Did you make your reservations? Maybe you can party with me and my friends

Not making reservations. I live 5 minutes from the venue so really no need for me. Once it gets closer to the date I will probably start a cell phone list so we all can find each other.

KP, It looks like we're going to head into the tailgate early and set up there for the day. Thanks for the info, when you get to the lot look us up at BN party.

Maufro, where will the BN party be located. Will there be a chance I can find the party?

Re: BN Party
there's usually a cell list that we all get distributed. Someone going to the concert usually volunteers to put it all together. So just make sure to get on the list and it will be sent to you before the concert. that way you can call us and figure out where everyone will be. usually works out fairly well...kentuckypirate wrote:Maufro, where will the BN party be located. HG, I need some worldly advice - Our roadtrip is set-up for the Chi-Napol-Nati leg. Though the Alpine thread has me rethinking our plan and we can't squeeze all 4.habourgirl wrote:there's usually a cell list that we all get distributed. It seems you have been to all; would you stay the course or swap Tinley for Alpine?

Re: BN Party
In my opinion, I prefer Alpine over Tinley. Tinley's ok, but it's defeinitely no Alpine. But that's me. I'm sure there are some people who prefer Tinley over Alpine. There reason I don't really like Tinley is because they're not as cool about the whole tailgating thing as Alpine is. And Alpine is a much better venue to see a concert (if you're in the pavillion). I mean, either way I'm sure you'll have a kick a$$ time, but Alpine is always an amazing time. And plus the night before there's this parrothead ball in Janesville which is always awesome. So, I recommend Alpine. (You really should just do the whole week!!!! Tinley - Alpine!!!)maufro wrote:HG, I need some worldly advice - Our roadtrip is set-up for the Chi-Napol-Nati leg.
