I saw The Outfield play at Carowinds and took my daughter to see Raven not so long ago...

But why all the worrying...he is so coming here, he just hasn't finalized his schedule. I am not worried at all that he will be here, the question is just when!

The Valentine's Day show was great this week. I didn't know he played at Carowinds back in the day. It's hard to believe, considering no one (that I know of) plays there now.

Waiting, watching, refreshing - Where are my dates?

Alot of people used to play carowinds back in the day....I was vey young....but I saw INXS open for the Go Gos
The Palladium at Carowinds was the outdoor amphitheater for Charlotte prior to Blockbuster/Verizon. It competed for shows with Blockbuster and the then new (but now vacated and soon to be imploded) Charlotte Coliseum in the late 80's and early 90's. However, without a lawn, it changed focus and began going after different niches instead of mainstream.

He also played an infamous concert at Memorial Stadium in the early 80's.

Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Columbia...It doesn't matter to me, as long as we get a show

Why would a show in the rain not be fun? Some of my favorite Buffett shows have been in monsoons so have some other artists. Its always a blast.

I am even getting the bug remembering what it used to be like to have my summer rise and fall on the Buffett show. I think we will go this year, if of course we have the chance. Something tells me we will.

My first Buffett show was at the Charlotte Coliseum back in 2004, easily the best one I've ever been to. Please release more dates to the Carolinas Jimmy!!!

For all you that are new to the Buffett party, I so wish you could have seen him in his prime! Better late than never however!!!!!

He will have a Carolinas date I feel confident in saying.

TTG....I remember a couple shows at Memorial Stadium in CLT @ the mid 80s! Is the infamous show you refer to the one that JB cut short due to the tequilla bottle that struck him...I remember JB getting on the microphone and threatening bodily harm to the individual that hurled the bottle his way before cutting the concert short. Hope he makes it to NC this spring!

The next year, when he returned, he played for hours!! Best concert ever!! (and everyone acted like they had some sense and kept the bottles to themselves) What idiots throw bottles at JB?? STUPID! That made me mad

I am kind of surprised with the tour dates that have been released so far. I have seen Jimmy every year since 1994 somewhere in North Carolina. Charlotte almost always gets a show. Charlotte has been VERY good to Jimmy over the years and we are all sitting here scratching our heads over the lack of a date here. If Atlanta happens, it will be fun, but it is going to be REAL hard to get tickets due to everyone in NC and SC trying to go down there for the show. Jimmy if you read these forums, please please please remember all the good times we have all shared with you in the Tarheel state and give the South some dates :) I need a vacation and I usually spend mine with you and the band. We wont even complain about the ticket prices, just come please!

I can't believe we still don't even have a rumor of a Charlotte show!!! I don't ever remember having to wait on dates like this year.

I hope JB hasn't decided to start really slowing down (or even partial retirement) because of celebrating his 60th birthday. I certainly wouldn't blaim him as he hasn't relaxed much of any summer for so many years.

Everyday I check and hope and so far have been disappointed.
