OK, in spite of the Gator's recent post (Go Noles!), I'll attach onto this thread - I see that Charlotte came off the "rumored but not yet confirmed" list...anyone got an idea whether that is good news or bad news??

I am thinking that is BAD news.

At least when it was on the rumored list - there was a hope he would hit Carolina this summer.

Looks like Mid West the last 2 weeks in July; vacation in August; CT, MA and Toronto Labor Day week and NY the 3rd week of Sept. Nothing the weekend of 9/15 - perhaps he will show at ACL?

I still can't believe he wont hit ANYWHERE in Carolina this year!!! I think he has come every year since 1985 or 84? So I wont give up hope yet!!!

Charlotte is still listed on the Rumors thread. I don't know if is actually looking bleaker - I wish someone would post who actually knew something.

On other subjects, I do root on App now that I live in NC - but I am a UF alum (class of '98 ) so I will always bleed orange and blue.Go Gators!!!

I won't be able to make the pig picking phlocking - I am flying to MI first thing Saturday morning. Hearing you are having a keg of Dos Equis (XX lager is my favorite beer) assured you are Parrotheads with impeccable taste. I look forward to getting together another time. I hope your party goes off without a hitch, the weather is perfect, the pork is hot and the beer cold.

I feel your pain amigo. But this year just aint the year for us. WIth a little love and luck, we have to hope for next year.

Something tells me he WILL come to Charlotte this fall....I just cannot see him skipping the Carolinas
