I see Bubba is soaking us again on ticket prices.

Here you can discuss any Buffett related topic.

Gas use to be $1 a gallon. Now it's $2.50-$3, but do I stop driving?

The lawn seats have remained fairly consistant, and really are a pretty good deal compared to ticket prices for a lot of shows now. We should be thankful that Jimmy is still touring and keeping things reasonable for those of us on the lawn!!
I sat in the lawn for many years, until someone almost trampled one of my children, then the lawn was no longer an option. I had no problem with the lawn, was just happy to be there and enjoy the show with a bunch of people looking for a good time. By the time my children are old enough to be in the lawn, the tours will have stopped.

And why list the $126? if you dont acknowledge the $85 or $36 tickets, why not list the skybox prices as your example? those have to be higher and more dramatic.
And dont we now have to refer to him as 'Academy Award Winner Al Gore' :o

That's enough to make me get in my car and drive non-stop for the next TWO YEARS. (Only stopping to refuel with premium gas and a beer break every now and then).

SPEAKING OF TICKET PRICES-
I got a pavillion seat for Alpine the day they went on sale (Monday), and it cost me 123.00 plus ticketbastard charges.
Last year it was $126.00. Looks like they went DOWN. 8)
THANK YOU, JIMMY. :D

If you look at any other singers that have been around for decades and still tour, their ticket prices are way up there too. i.e. The Stones, U2, Garth Brooks....

Just be happy that he is still touring; because the day when buffett stops, is the day you will have to pay alot more to see him either at a private showing in St. barth's, or at a Margaritaville.

Just my 2 cents
like I said.. you pay less for the copy than the original...

Just for the hell of it I took a look at the prices for some of the venues Chesney's playing this year. The top price is $89-$96 at most venues, not $66. The cheap seats are more expensive than Buffett's cheap seats at most venues. But why let facts get in the way of a good rant.

I figure it this way....if one can smoke, drink alot, gamble or play the lotto alot...then one can give up something in order to get a JB ticket...which in the long run would be healthier for ya!! It all depends on what you want.

The tickets are worth what you are willing to pay for them. If you don't like the prices don't buy them. It's not like it is a service that you have to consume. Like a doctor's visit. Those prices haven't changed.

Lands End, realize this subject has been beaten to death...usually several times each season.

To me the best example that JB's tickets are not overpriced is the two Gillette stadium shows officially sold out in one hour. That's 120,000+ tickets. Cheaper JB tickets just won't happen unless he starts playing significantly more shows again.
