If he comes back to Aspen this year, hubby and I are planning on going.
Just remember not to use Expedia to make your reservation at The Green Drake....as they no longer use Expedia. We don't need a scare like I had four months back.
Green Drake, "Sorry sir, I don't see your reservation and we don't have rooms." Me, "ACK!!" Green Drake, "How many rooms and days did you need?" Me, "One room, one night." Green Drake, "Oh, well we've got that." Me, "Scwew!!."

I'll call them directly, just like last time.

Yeah, that's what I'd do. I'd also be sure to contact Pastor Zip in Aspen, make sure to see him again.

Not that there's anything wrong with November or December. I could be easily talked into driving to Aspen again!!
I should be there approx Oct 16 to 21
So, there's a Tuesday, a Thursday and a Saturday in there... If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.

Ok peeps - been thinking about this. What do you say if we don't have a "date" by such and such date - we go ahead and have a Colorado phlocking/tailgate anyway?

just need to know what y'all think that "such and such date" would be?

that sounds like a fine plan, but I don't know that I have any suggestions as to when.
Do you think the Pepsi Center will mind if we just show up? Maybe we could try Dick's Sporting Goods Park?

I'm betting that Saturday, Oct 20, will be the night of the first of two Vegas shows. Wonder how long we'll have to wait for official word?

@ you guys - knew we'd get Santa here for LDOL if the Rocks were playing SF
As for the Pepsi Center or Dick's - not sure they'd appreciate a phlock of us showing up partying in their parkings lots
I figure there are two options:
1. Our back yard - we could set up it up to look just like a tailgate (minus to the cars of course

) - everyone just bring what you would bring if there was a REAL tailgate........
2. Find a nice park - maybe up in the mountains. If we do it during the summer - it would be nice and cool there - maybe one with a lake???
The last option - if we can't find a good date in the summer - is to just make the theme for LDOL 2007 option #1 above?
What about sometime in July? Just not 4th of July (vegas baby

)
Thoughts?

Sorry Jenny Craig - the weather in October is waaaaaaaaay too unpredictable in Colorado - If I'm at a tailgate I want to be wearing flip flops and shorts - NOT a winter coat

I would love to meet with my personal real estate cap management consultant this summer

BIG MEETING next week in Tejas
I'm guessing after the beating the Rocks took tonight from the SF Giant bats, 8-0, a baseball game might not be part of the CO phlocking

I can only speak for myself, but I don't know that the out-come of the baseball game is all that important. going is the fun starter, then who you're with and what you do while there makes the best part.

Easy Yellow Feet

When your team has one of the worst records in all of baseball and you get a BIG win, ya gotta have a little fun with that ONE big win. I agree with you. People are much more important than sports and things, and time shared with friends should be highly valued.

I'm paying so little attention to baseball that I didn't catch that one. I guess I have heard something about San Fran struggling. I'm kinda used to struggling baseball teams around here.
