Some BN'ers stayed there a few years back ... it rained, but I think they had a good time. We parked there and walked to the venue ... Enjoy!

You've heard correctly sir.

In 2002 when ETP was there (I hear that I was there too), the venue parking lot didn't open until late in the afternoon, maybe 6:00-ish? People were parked along the shoulder of the road to the theater and waiting to enter.

Sleepy Bear campground was the only place to tailgate during the daylight hours (some arrived as early as Tuesday or Wednesday for a Thursday night show).

What a trip! 8)

Did the sleepybear campground last year. Just to let you know they charge 20$ per person and 20$ per car. I am looking for a new tailgating spot this year. I have heard they are now opening the gates earlier around 1 or 2. I may go that route this year.
