Thought of all of you as I'm here in Omaha for a pastor's conference and ran across this in the Sunday Entertainment section.
It's an interview with Shaun Murphy, a backup singer for Bob Seger and Little Feat
http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2 ... id=2339942
Q.The Seger tour comes to an end soon. What are your plans then?
A.We're starting up the Little Feat tour right as this one ends. I have enough time to go home and wash my clothes and go back out again. Little Feat is getting ready to put out
a new studio record. It's a collaboration with Jimmy Buffett.
It's in the process of being mixed. Hopefully it'll be out by late spring or early summer. It's good to have a full plate.

This is exciting as I am a HUGE Little Feat fan ... from way back in the Lowell George days. Waiting for Columbus is one of my Top Five albums of all time and Willin' is my MOST favorite song for harmonies on stage.

You probably just like singing "and if you give me weed, whites and wine"

The last I heard about the new Feats CD was that it is all old Feat tunes re-recorded as duets, sorta... Its old Feat tunes recorded w/ guest artists. Can you guess which song Jimmy does on the CD? I dont know for sure but I would think Dixie Chicken.
The CD is also being produced by Utley & Mac, I think? Along w/ recording in Key West.

Little Feat is at BB King's club in Times Square next Friday night. I've seen them there twice before and I'll be back for this one. I saw them at a small outdoor venue on LI about 3 years ago. They had a table set up in the back selling CDs, every CD on the table had been autographed by all of the members of the band.

I dunno ... "smuggled some smoke and folks from Mexico baked by the sun " is good too
That song was actually one of our best. We have about 5 different numbers with great harmonies that people actually will stop talking in the bars to listen too
Now if we can just get the "front man" to come back home from Ohio

so we can get back to work!

Thanks for the info!
What a cool collaboration this will be! Not just for the fans, but for the collaborators as well! I bet Jimmy's totally excited about this, and vice versa!
