I realize that the conditions are not the great in the winter, but he did say "Hell, right now I’d pay a broker $200 for a lawn ticket, and drive 2 or 300 miles for a show."

I have never been to Co. and would not do it in the winter, I don't like snow :x But I hope he get his show in Denver. I would try my best to get tickets as i would love to see a show there, My one hope would be Red Rocks but I am dreaming as the last show he die there was in 1990 I can only dream......

Funny thing about those shows at the Rocks... He was in town over the winter for the Joe Merchant signing... I guess he got so much grief for not playing Red Rocks that he decided to play there. I remember him saying something about getting our message during the signing when he was on stage... Red Rocks used to be the ONLY place for shows in the summer, then Fiddlers was built and it was game over...

You think it might be because of Coors? Maybe JB doesn't like Pepsi.

Denver - the biggest city in the Midwest.

I dunno. I thought Jimmy liked Denver. Travis McGee and all that.

The Freddy show is a completely different experience anyway. There's no tailgate, only a handful of band members, none of the video stuff, it's definitely different.

Granted, I wouldn't trade the Freddy experience, but it is not the JB and the Coral Reefer Band show/experience a lot of people want.

Actually, I would absolutely love to see Freddie anf the Fishsticks in Aspen unfortunately, their are only a handfull of tickets available. :( My Brother-in-law and I tried very hard to get tickets to the last show. It turned out that it was probably a good thing, we may not have made it due to the blizzard.

After that concert Jimmy thought: There is no way we can ever top this Denver show, so we'll make it the one people remember by making it the last one. 8)

I started this thread (which was my silly attempt at humor) just to have some fun, not to get slammed for my misspelled words. Just like most ordinary parrot-heads I check-in with BuffetNews almost daily to see what’s happening (you can easily see that I have been registered with BN since April 8, 2003), but it is because of people like jackiesic and LIPH that I do not post often. It seems to me that there are many here at BN who are just out to embarrass, shame and just make some folks feel uncomfortable by pointing out errors.

I am only an ordinary parrot-head in Denver, I would absolutely like for Jimmy to come to Denver for a concert. I have not been able to afford to travel to see him since Saturday, September 20th, 2003 in the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. I have been to see Jimmy in Vegas several times; however my inadequate finances the past several years have not permitted such expenditures.

I guess, I just don’t understand why, some people here are out to scour each post for errors, and then point them out. It does not make sense to me. I truly think that the majority of us ordinary average “parrot-heads” come here to catch up with latest news and to spend a few minutes enjoying the escape-ism that Mr. Buffett provides us all through his music, lyrics and lifestyle.

Personally I think BN has lost much of it’s allure because of the harshness of many members. However, the humor and humility of many will keep me visiting. Moreover, I have indeed met many good folks here at BN. Thanks to them I will most likely continue to visit, but my posting days are done. :(

aparrotheadindenver

P.S. – Mr. McAnally, please except my sincerest apologies for misspelling your name. In addition, Mr. Buffett, if you can arrange it, Denver would love to have you pay us a visit, even though a few of us tend to misspell a few words.

Disclaimer – Any and all misspelled words are in no way intended to insult, offend, upset, displease, irritate, infuriate, bother, annoy, madden, aggravate, exasperate, frustrate, or otherwise rub someone the wrong way. I beg that any person who does take exception to misspelled words please not mention the infraction.
