"she found out she was pregnant in March 2004" and went for a abortion
"It was only when Raper went to the New England Medical Center emergency room for treatment of pelvic pain in late September that year that she found out she was pregnant,"
Are you telling me in 7 months this woman had no clue she could possibly be pregnant or at the very least realize there something going on with her body, with both my keets my wife had this incredible glow, her skin was that of a teenagers, physically her body changed in front of my eyes. I can't believe this woman had no sign

Thus St. Somewhere's post about this woman likely being "a bit" overweight. Sometimes hefty girls don't show any other signs of pregnancy. They have their normal periods and weight gain is minimal.thebeachbumm33 wrote:

Hell, I'd know if I were pregnant, though, because my face is in the toilet most of the time.

..but, I'll bet she wasn't bright enough to figure this case opportunity out for herself.flipflopgirl wrote:me too Jamie!!!!!Dally wrote:I feel sorry for the little girl.![]()

it sounds like this woman saw an opportunity to make some $$$$$ off of someone!

I'm sure she has legal counsel who "enlightened" her.
Given the number of times she sought medical attention,
and all personal opinions aside, it does sound like she has a legitimate malpractice claim, doesn't it?

you would think that the doctor that performed the abortion would have done some sort of test afterward.....Lightning Bolt wrote:..but, I'll bet she wasn't bright enough to figure this case opportunity out for herself.flipflopgirl wrote:me too Jamie!!!!!Dally wrote:I feel sorry for the little girl.![]()

and not that i'd know, but i hope planned parenthood, being the responsible organization that they are would have counseled her on the possibility, albeit remote that might exist with an unsuccessful abortion. she might have signed a waiver somewhere or something. you do fill out a LOT of paperwork for most any medical procedure. there's always "risk" involved.Dally wrote:you would think that the doctor that performed the abortion would have done some sort of test afterward.....Lightning Bolt wrote:..but, I'll bet she wasn't bright enough to figure this case opportunity out for herself.flipflopgirl wrote:me too Jamie!!!!!Dally wrote:I feel sorry for the little girl.![]()

whether it was malpractice or not, i think what she is doing is in poor taste and if she truly didn't want to have the child or pay to raise it, she should have given it up for adoption. problem solved.
