Good News From TM (for once)

Post by Docktails at 5 »

I was on my computer Saturday morning at 9:50 preparing to buy tickets for the Nissan show as soon as they went on sale. At exactly 10:00 I got on and was able to score 3 lawn seats for the show. When I went to pay, I realized that I had old credit card information in the system so I put my new info in. After making me wait for 4 minutes, the system gave me an error message and kicked me out. Needless to say, when I went back in, the tickets were all gone. So Monday I get an email from TM stating that the address on my order and the address on my credit card aren't the same and to call them. When I called, the person told me that my order had gone through on Saturday and that I had three lawn tickets reserved. That totally made my day. So for once, Ticketmaster came through.

Yeah, The scalpers gave You seats. But they kept the good seats. Visit ebay or any other scalper site to pay up to get the good seats.

Congratulations on your good fortune.
It's just too bad you had to go through the weekend thinking you'd not be going.
But all's well that ends well, right?
Enjoy your concert.

I'll second that--3 years in a row I have been online at 10am for Cubs tickets, with the virtual waiting room screen refreshing every 30 seconds, over and over and over and over again. The earliest I have ever had access to seats (this year) was at about 4:30.

FYI, you can open as many windows as you want. I went after Cubs/White Sox tickets and got in within 4 minutes and got the max amount of bleachers for all three games of the series...I may have extras if you want..send me a pm and I'll let you know within a week once we finalize our plans

Three choices: buy tickets from the primary source, buy tickets in the secondary market, or don't go to the shows! As long as the tickets are underpriced, brokers will continue to buy and resell them. Without brokers, may of us would not be able to make it to the show (we are willing to pay more than other fans who would otherwise get them).

Thanks for the offer! I have terrace reserved seats for 6 games, and think my days in the bleachers are long gone. Sox would be fun, but would not be my first choice, so I thank you kindly but think I am set for now :D
