Margaritaville Las Vegas

Post by RumFan »

Am heading to Vegas in May and staying at the Flamingo, where Margaritaville is at. Anyone have any good advice on this place? Any nights more hopping than others? Is it more of a restaurant than bar? Just wondering what to expect..

Had the burger and one mother of a margarita....kept the glass (i paid for it) and stole a menu and lots of napkins. A friend was with us and when he came back from the bathroom he said "this is from Jimmy" and handed me a few squares of TP!!!!
Had a great time there. I smiled for hours!!!!

I prefer earlier in the day or evening than at night, because you can watch the video footage of Jimmy's concerts.

The music is never Buffett music at night. There is a group called Senergy that plays cover music.

I've seen websites saying the restaurant is open from 10 a.m to 2 a.m, but we went in once and there was no food after 11. This may have changed in the last couple of year??? So I'd say late nite it is just more of a bar.

We're always there for concert weekend(s) so they might have finally figured out that most of the folks in M-ville those weekends want to hear Bubba...not the HipHop crap that they used to switch over to at night

The bar up topside I think tends to play different tunes than the dance floor downstairs....

Flamingo has one of the best buffets in Vegas, IMO! The pool area is great if you like that sort of thing.

They have good tables :) Let It Ride!! Good slots...

Drinks are best at Caesar's!!! Morning are great at Paris. It's so quiet and cool and relaxed.

Get you a Total Rewards card right away when you get there and use it at several Harrah's Casinos. You'll get good rates for concert time then...

Enjoy yourself.

Margaritaville does have alright drinks too and the best meatloaf sandwich!!! The rest of the food is just SO SO. The shop is good!

You can sit out at the balcony bar and see the fountains and water show at The Bellagio.

The monorail is right behind Flamingo to take you anywhere you don't wanna walk to.

As a Vegas Local..I can tell you that the 3rd Floor outdoor bar completely ROCKS!!! They have some great live entertainers up there most times. The ground floor restaurant and bar is very cool, they re-enact a volcano eruption every half hour or so during the dinner hours. On the weekends, the main floor in the restautant is cleared for dancing to a house band called "Synergy" around 10pm. They're OK...but its not parrothead stuff...its more catering to the younger club crowd. But hey, fun is where you make it!

If its open and nice weather I would def recommend the 3rd Floor bar!!!! Great place to have a few drinks and people watch!!

If you are stuck on the ground floor, I always park myself at the bar-if its avail, the bartenders are always an interesting crew...

I would def go earlier in the day or Happy Hour time if u can...

Have Phun!!!!

Last July in an effort to avoid the heat and the crowds...we were there when the doors opened@ 11am!

Find the Flamingo and you cannot miss it!!! We ended up sitting there until 4pm trading stories with bar flys, tourists and the bar staff.....!!! Awesome time :D

My only advice is make sure to invite a fellow Saluki parrothead to join you for cocktails!

I'll PM you my cell phone number (I live in Vegas in case you didn't know)and give me a call when you get in Vegas....I'll join you up at the 12 volt bar some evening!
