Anguilla Show to be on DVD

Post by phjim »

The rumored DVD of the Anguilla show has been confirmed by Radio Margaritaville: Jimmy is planning on doing a DVD of the Anguilla show. This is a great opportunity for some face time on camera as there were only 3 to 4 thousand tickets sold. He's planning on doing a deep setlist reaching for some rarely performed songs.

Unfortunately the show will NOT be broadcast live on Radio Margaritaville because of the remote location. Portions of the show may be rebroadcast on Radio Margaritaville, or you will have to wait until the DVD comes out (TBA).

excellent!
this could be one of those classic concerts sort of like the Live By the Bay show at the Miami Marine Stadium - can't wait to see what he pulls from his treasure chest of great "rarely played" songs :pirate: ... and may then add into the setlist this year

I just hope this doesn't go the way of the Coastal Confessions DVD which has yet to see the light of day.

When this is released It won't be on DVD. Because at that time DVD will be extinct.

Yeah, I was trying hard to be positive about it all... But I admit, that thought did cross my mind too.

Mailboat. That's the key word to this DVD release. It'll probably come out for JB's 65th birthday or perhaps his 70th.

Watch - since he's diggin' back in the old treasure chest, he'll release this, retire from touring since Bama Breeze seems to be going to different cities than the usual and be sure to let everyone know to get all the DVDs with the usual songs and this one and when he's 80 the Coastal Confessions will finally come out and it will all make up for his retirement.

Except, of course, any new songs he might write and hopefully release.

Nah, this one will probably come out right before Labor Day weekend.

Of this year.

Since he's diggin' in to the deep back catalog, anyone think he won't play the usual and do ALL obscure songs? No Margaritaville, Volcano, OPH, BEG, Southern Cross, Fins, etc... SJPTD. That would be fantastic.

Maybe he'll get ripped and really put on a wild performance.
