There is tailgating but to me not as good as Lakewood (Hi Fi Buys).
Most of the areas close are used by businesses. There are some good open areas near the Georgia Dome but a little bit of a walk. I have season Falcons tickets and tailgate regularly there. I guess we have to take what we can get though. :D

When I was there in '03, the tailgating was down by the railroad/MARTA tracks. If you are up on the CNN parking deck you could look down at the crazyness. That, to me, seamed to be the bulk of tailgating :D

yeah most of the lots near Phillips are full during the work day. Some do not allow tailgating either. But down near the tracks are open. I was there in 03. There was a group of us in one of the lots closer to the Georgia Dome. But if I remember correctly in 03 it was around February.
