Pretty cheap per year cost to keep my eyes in good shape. Cheap sunglassses distort your field of vision, worn enough, thats how your vision is "corrected" to the wrong way,,, :(
I have to agree... I have a chronic eye condition. My doctor recommended that I wear good sunglasses, sunlight can make it flare up and also irritate the hell out of it once I have it. I haven't spent under $100.00 for sunglasses in over 15 years... I have bought about 5 pairs.

that is SO worth it. I got my first of polarized lenses on my last pair and will never go back. SO much clearer.

I use a simple little sting between my arms that keeps them on my neck when not in use. I cant tell you how valuable that little rope is to me!! I'd have lost them for sure without it. (much less scratched them up)

Yeah. I had a pair of those pricey Ray-Bans with the wrap-around cables behind the ears. 100 mph and all is well. Until you go white water rafting...

I treasured them for years (although I felt the belt-loops on the case were kinda gay) and they got nary a scratch.
Until one day on the Upper New River I put on my shades, strapped on my helmet, and proceeded to screw up the only Class V rapids on the East Coast.
Minutes later I popped up out of the foam. My body was intact. My vest saved my life. My helmet was still strapped...
... and the world seemed so much 'brighter'...
...my Ray-Bans came off, and lie deep beneath the waters of West Virginia's prettiest gorge. How it came off from under my helmet and left my ears intact is a mystery to this day, but somewhere there swims a bass with some mighty nice eyewear. If you catch him, it's not because he couldn't see the hook.

I hardly ever wear sunglasses because I'm always wearing my REAL glasses, but my opthamologist got on my case about it since, well, we wear sunscreen why shouldn't we wear sunglasses.

So, next year I'm having lasik done and I'm SOOOOOOO excited to get lotsa nice sunglasses. :D

I don't wear contacts but every once in a while 'cause it's like putting sandpaper on my eyeballs and I just can't wear them very long. RX sunglasses gave me headaches.

ugh, dont even get me started on sunscreen and how most of the brands out there are FAR worse for your skin than NOT using it at all.

there's actually some truth to that.
Sun gives you vitamin D which fights many cancers including skin cancer.
Hide yiour skin with lotion & you can be less protected.
*disclaimer* whether or not you use it is up to you*
LOL
