So after a long wait, tommorow is the
first bout for the Treasure Valley Roller Girls.
I was one of the few people who watched the TV series
and found out that one of the young ladies I work with
is a contestant..
I am pretty stoked. I asked Her to let me know when they were going to
start competing and She gave me a flyer about two weeks ago..
I seen a girl on a one way corridor
Stealing down a wrong way street
For all the world like an urban toreador
She had wheels on on her feet
Well the cars do the usual dances
Sames old cruise and the kerbside crawl
But the rollergirl shes taking chances
They just love to see her take them all
No fears alone at night shes sailing through the crowd

You know she used to have to wait around

I LOVED roller derby 'back in the day'......I wanted to be a roller girl so bad when I was little.....even used to practice at the rink a little.....

Hubby and I went to see the Rocky Mountain Roller Girls a few weeks ago for some good redneck fun. It was a good time. One of my coworkers is Green Venom.

I think I met some of them at a bar ( dont remember which one) one night after going to GABF. Don't remember which ones at all... little too sober to remember that.

a great time.. I admire those girls
they have worked very hard for over a year to make this happen..
it was a lot of fun.. and there were way more poeple there then I had expected..
