Great idea- I'm in on a private lot if that looks like the way to go and someone could organize it. I'm too far away to be of much use for the picking and planning process though.ragtopW wrote:Do like the Houston crew did.. Rent a lot and have a Private party..

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

By the way, my post about Foxboro banning tailgaiting on other lots was supposed to be an April Fools joke, for those who thought it was serious.

Do the math....even if it does s***!!
Assume 30,000 cars for 60,000 people - average.
If they open at 3:30, pholks have about 4 hours to get parked.
That's 7,500 cars per hour, or 125 cars per minute, or 2 cars per second - for 4 hours - entering the lot. No way, no how!!

Early opening - here we come!!!

You have to keep in mind though, that the private lots on the opposite side of Route 1 from the stadium are now owned by the Krafts. The Rodman lots will open early, as will the lots at Outlaw, Foxx Inn, End Zone, Red Wing and Stone Forge. But the lots in the woods across from the stadium are owned by the Krafts and have been bulldozed to put in more "real" parking spots.
Also, plan on shelling out at least $40 to park, probably more at the lots open earlier.

For the last two years i have attended the Kenny Chesney Concert at Gillette and both years they said lots would opne at noon four hours before the start of the show. Needless to say both times i was there around 9 and still parked near the back of the stadium lot. This is a ploy to try and have people stay home for as long as possible

Bingo. That is what I have been saying for a while, hit the private lots. As long as we all know which lot we want to tailgate at we will have no problem. It seems The Endzone is going to be the place and I would venture a guess it will cost about $50 to park.Hula Hoop wrote: The Rodman lots will open early, as will the lots at Outlaw, Foxx Inn, End Zone, Red Wing and Stone Forge. Tom is staying there, and maybe some others. Hopefully someone will be able to plant the BN flag in a good spot!

Hello Northeast Fans!
WE need your help......
I have seen Jimmy at ten + Great Woods shows, but I am not familar with Gillette Stadium.
We are bringing a 45' tour bus motorcoach to the venue. We are from Southern California and wil be coming in from the New York area and going to both shows. Our "FINS BUS" is a somewhat larger version of our old bus and I am a bit nervous driving it in without some knowledge of where I am going.
I see the 330 PM crap, yet we will be in the vacinity of the venue by 10 am. My wife and I are hard core fans, and will be at both shows with stops in Martha's Vineyard and Long Island in between.
Questions for anyone who knows:
- Does the venue allow Large RV's and buses?
- If so, is there a special entrance or parking area?
For any BNers at the show....look for the 45' Country Coach tour bus with FINS BUS California license plates. Stop by for a beer!
