WE need your help......

I have seen Jimmy at ten + Great Woods shows, but I am not familar with Gillette Stadium.

We are bringing a 45' tour bus motorcoach to the venue. We are from Southern California and wil be coming in from the New York area and going to both shows. Our "FINS BUS" is a somewhat larger version of our old bus and I am a bit nervous driving it in without some knowledge of where I am going.

I see the 330 PM crap, yet we will be in the vacinity of the venue by 10 am. My wife and I are hard core fans, and will be at both shows with stops in Martha's Vineyard and Long Island in between.

Questions for anyone who knows:

- Does the venue allow Large RV's and buses?
- If so, is there a special entrance or parking area?

For any BNers at the show....look for the 45' Country Coach tour bus with FINS BUS California license plates. Stop by for a beer!
There are special areas for buses/RV's etc. Here is the information. Please note that the prices they quote are for game days for the Patriots so the prices may be different than they say.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Hey just wanted to chime in here. In Houston they pulled all kinds og crap so we found a medium size lot and offered the owner $62.00 a space-a total of 35 spaces. He had a much larger profit and didn't have to pay a lot attendent. To avoid issues with your Local Police, town,Alcohol enforcement and so forth have planning meetings with them, hire off duty police officers, obtain a special event permit, sound permit, and a special event liability ins policy.

If you need any help just let me know

Thank you Aeroparrot for the link to Gillette.

With this being an NFL stadium, tailgating should be no new thing.
Wait until they see the Phlock though, it will be a mind blower. I hope they hired the Great Woods consultants to help with their sense of humor and patience.

For Boston area phans, we salute you! In California, our Holy Grail of west coast shows is Irvine. For all of the stops we have made, from Ft. Lauderdale to Mountain View CA and everywhere in between, no on tailgates like Boston phans outside of our very own Irvine CA venue. With these being much larger stadium shows, you have to believe thousands will show early in the day, and folks on the thread are right, the gates will open before noon unless they want to overrun the area.

It looks like they have a special area for RV's and Buses, we will be there in our bus with FINS BUS Califronia plates. It is black and grey with "Margaritaville" on the back, and on the front windshield. Stop by and say hello!

So Cal Parrotheads on a 3000 mile journey to the Party at the End of the World!

You know, knowing the town of Foxboro, they'll try to crack down on tailgaiting at the hotels too. However, I think they did it as a compromise for the residents who were worried about the tailgaiting for a Buffett show. If I'm not mistaken, the Patriots only open the lot 3 hours before game time anyway so I think the town based it on that and gave an extra couple of hours.

Far be it from me to point out the obvious but this simple answer is to just call the End Zone Motel and ask if they are going to allow tailgating early and if they will allow non-guest to park there for a fee.

I realize that everyone is nervous about the lots not opening but everything in the past points to this being something that they put out there to keep traffic problems down. The last two Kenny Chesney Concerts at Gillete have had the same rules but i was there both years at 9 for a three oclock show. Also the Patriots sunday night games which start at 8 become all day affairs withe people begginning to tailgate at around 9 in the morning.

We are staying at a hotel about 15 minutes away, as long as they allow non guest to park and talgate (for a fee per car I expect) I will be there.

That's so stupid, they're worried about the amount of people showing up so rather than let us all INTO the stadium parking lots and off the streets they'd rather have us driving around and around and around??? All I can say is "They'll be SOOOORRRRRYYYYYYY!"

Pam...they don't care...they will just keep sending you past the Stadium........They can be Pr*cks....i've seen it!!....It's the town......if they don't follow there orders......they will not let other shows come to Gillette!!!.....As for the Patriots they are a big tax payer for the town and most the businesses there are season ticket holders....and it's a complete different crowd...so they do let that slide a bit as when they open the gates!!!......not everyone is partying and getting smashed before a Patriot game!!!

Is it the one near the Ford dealership?
No .....i know Rodmans is there but i don't know if it's next to it!!!..it's right across the street !!..And from a reliable source...lots won't open to 3:30 and he hears itwill be strictly enforced..........and they were told that includes the private lots......town thing.....he was told if you come early they will direct you buy the stadium to keep going!!.....Thank god for the End Zone Motel!!!
