I'm quite sure you can buy it at the concert in Houston...not sure about the stores around town.

Was just in Vegas and a 6 pack was 8.95 at the M store. My sister (who lives in LV) went to Sams Club and it was there for 21.00 for a case.

Shiner Bock only tastes good in a Texas honky tonk, just like Corona tastes better with Buffett.

After reading the posts about folks finding it in Myrtle Beach, I hit a couple gas station mini marts in Conway (next town inland from Myrtle Beach) with no luck. My last stop was the store on the corner up from my new house. The lady there had never heard of LandShark, but said she would ask next time the AB guy came through. This was Thursday, stopped in today to find it in the cooler, $7.99/six pack. Since I hadn't had tried it since Valentines Day, I picked up 12. Maybe not the greatest beer, but drinkable (to me) and a nice diversion from the same old same old. Roughly the same price as my beloved Red Stripe, and I think, superior to Corona. Probably fit it into the rotation now that it is so conveniently located. Peace.

The A-B guys route guys were in my grocery store this a.m. restocking, so I asked when Landshark Lager would be available here (an hour N of Atlanta) ... they hadn't heard of it. I told them it's "Jimmy Buffett's new beer" that they're making. They told me I must be mistaken, they'd never heard of it. Either the employee intranet @ A-B must s*** or it won't be in my part of GA for a while.

I had a few bottles last week on Siesta Key.
It is OK, but is not worth $7.99 a six.
It will go the way of "Billy Beer"

Land Shark Lager is Buttwiper beer in a clear bottle. I have done a little research-it is being brewed for JB at the Buttwiper brewery in Jax FL (and I believe now some other AB breweries around the country). I have had one-and was not impressed. (I prefer a porter or a stout so maybe it was just to watery for my tastes). For anyone looking to try good beers-get a hold of some of the products brewed by Great Lakes Brewing-Their Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, their Blackout Stout (limited time) Holy Moses Ale and Dortmunder gold are all very good-but availability is limited to the Great Lakes Region.

PackPhanGirl wrote:I also got some this weekend in Myrtle and wondered the same thing! I found it at one of the "discount" beverage stores. I think I paid $7.89 per six pack! The store was advertising it on their billboard and we did a quick U-turn and went back!
$7.98 is a discount? That's more than the good microbrews here in Wisconsin.
