A Pirate Looks at Twenty
We were married in 1988. We have two terrific children and no indictments. I'll keep you posted.

I'll say you have good kids. Any boy who can throw up in Woodbridge and rally enough to drink a milkshake in Fredericksburg is okay by me!bravedave wrote:We were married in 1988. We have two terrific children and no indictments. I'll keep you posted.

Yea, now get this, SHE was divorced also, but oh wait, THAT is different...unbelievablecalypsogirl wrote:Wow, she was quite the positive picture wasn't she?Ambition At Bay wrote:Just gotta say, this is an interesting thread, surprising, I figured I was pretty much, as they say (actually had a woman say this to me), "damaged goods", but hey, not so much today
Every once in a while I go out and venture into the "singles zone" scene, cracks me up!...even in my age group (51) its still a stupid game, I don't last long and go home and go for a long sail
HAVE A GREAT DAY

Once also for me and it will be 23 yrs in October!
Congrats to all you BNer's who are doing the happily ever after thing!
Divorce luckily hasn't been very big in my family. Mom & Dad are married 50 years, grandparents were 50 and 49, an aunt and uncle are married 60 yrs. and my inlaws are married 55 years, so I, too, have a lot of good role models!
Marrying your best friend is the best, but respect, love, patience and lots of laughs go a long way!!

Twice.
The first one lasted about five years. Some people claim that there's a woman to blame ... but I know, it WAS my own damn fault. Got married for the wrong reasons to someone I didn't really love. She deserved better.
On the bright side, the second time was the charm. Mrs Bits and I will celebrate anniversary number 26 next Wednesday. Thus far she has tolerated my dumbassity and resisted the urge to whack me over the head with a rolling pin. Gotta love that kind of devotion.

Yup, Rick's is a must, stop at the Purple Parrot (below pic) on the way to Rick's, its perched on the smaller cliffs, fun diving off there, have fun!calypsogirl wrote:Thank you! Flying into Montego Bay and visiting Negril and possible Ocho Rios. The YS falls look very interesting, may decide on those rather than Dunn's. Rick's Cafe will be a must as I've heard so much about it!

Is it really resisting the urge, or just picking the right opportunity in a target-rich environment?alphabits wrote:Twice.

Considering the sheer number of opportunities, my head would look like a relief map of the Rocky Mountains if she hadn't resisted the urge(s).RinglingRingling wrote:Is it really resisting the urge, or just picking the right opportunity in a target-rich environment?alphabits wrote:Twice.
