Twice.
First time was to a South American I met during a three year itinerant mix of work and travel. I was 27.
She spoke no English. I was a "C" student in Spanish, and that was back during 9th and 10th grade.
They say good communication is required for a good relationship.
Maybe they're right?
No kids, no house, 3 years of marraige, it still cleaned me out of my life savings at the time.
After three more years of bachelorhood, I took the plunge again at age 33 .
Never knew her before, but grew up a half mile from each other, got married in a synagogue 1/4 mile from our old houses we grew up in.
We then "Headed up to San Francisco for the Labor Day weekend" for our honeymoon.
I guess I just did it backwards- Did the exotic thing first, the predictable last.
It'll be twenty years this fall. Three Keets. Life is good!!!!!!!

And is St. Norma is wondering about her "time off for good behaviour" deal?

Twice.
The first time was to my high school school sweetheart - I was 20 and way too young.
After that, I had ten years before marrying my husband.
Next month we will be celebrating our 11th anniversary, and our oldest son's nineth birthday.

twice for me; got it right the second time and have enjoyed all seventeen years since we married!
Same as z-man except substitute "almost twenty" for "seventeen".

And on top of that I got married too early,
And it cost me much more than a ring.
But those crazy days are over,
You've just got to learn from
the wrong things you've done.
