twice for me; got it right the second time and have enjoyed all seventeen years since we married!
Same as z-man except substitute "almost twenty" for "seventeen".
As in, "have enjoyed seventeen of the almost twenty years since we married"?

Once. We've been married for almost 3 years, and were best friends for several years before that.
Both of us have parents, grandparents, aunts, etc. who have been married forever ~ so we see a lot of happy "old married couples". They're so adorable and inspiring and... I'll quit being mushy now

Naw - don't stop being mushy.
I like old people. Well, I grew up with my grandparents so spent lots of time with elderly folks...
Old married couples are very special indeed. My in-laws were married 50 years - FIL passed away in January... being back in England for the funeral and spending time with and helping my MIL really shows what a good marriage is/was.

Can't hold back any longer.
My sister has been married three times. Once, she even stayed married for eight whole months. That was the third one. The second didn't last long enough for them to go on their slightly postponed honeymoon, so I went to Key West with my sister for her honeymoon.

Zero. Never been engaged either. Real close to engagement once but we both realized it wasn't going to work out. Taking my time in an effort to try and get it right the first time....We'll see what happens...

One time for 26 years. We were married really young, raised a family and found out the memories of all the good times somehow overshadow the hard times. I have to admit I feel for the , "one and done, " pholks out there and really hope someday those hurts can be healed and you find true companionship.

Still working on marriage number one - 24 years and counting.
I think the key is in learning to embrace imperfection.
(She Of Whom I Speak has been very good at this.

So my 35 years in June will beat your 34? That's what happens
when you get really, really old, I guess. (And this will be my only marriage.)

ONCE!
Nov. 2, 2000, at the Southernmost Point in Key West. I was as far south as I could get, so the only way the marriage can go is up.
and if you believe that sh*t..........
After letting not one, not two, but THREE perfect women get away, one night, after hearing the Eagles song "Desperado" and about 6 glasses of rum & coke, I decided it would NOT be in my best intrests to let it happen a FOURTH time.

How did you ever meet 3 flat-headed, waist-high mutes who own liquor stores?

None .. probably a good thing - as there is a lot of divorces in my family - no one is good enough for us

If THAT were the case, I would've been dead many years ago.
