Let me see- married once - for about 12 years, then got divorced.

Have been in long term live-in relationship for past 16 plus years (and yes, I do call him my hubby - it gets too hard to explain otherwise).

Twice. Once to my daughter's father for 11 years. Then again in September, to Julie, my amazing and forever wife.

ONCE! He's put up with me for almost 12 years! I think the hardest part is being okay with the fact that there will be some really, really bad times that you just have to survive. Makes the good times that much better. :D

So my 35 years in June will beat your 34? That's what happens
when you get really, really old, I guess. (And this will be my only marriage.)
ONCE, 34 years too !!!
I guess he knows he couldn't replace me.
ok, and I couldn't replace him

Grandparents celebrated their 75th anniversary.
Parents are about to celebrate their 57th.
Nobody in my family divorced, except for an uncle, who never remarried.
And my cousin Mike (who's been married about 4-5 times), but that's just HIM !!!

Twice.

1. The day before I turned 30 - 27 years ago. We got divorced 3 years later.
2. And then again 20 years ago - to the Same beautiful woman - I guess I didn't learn my lesson ( or maybe she didn't )!! She is the mother to our 2 beautiful girls - 17 & 15.

We only celebrate the first one - she says she wants credit for putting up with me for all these years!

Married the 2nd one.

Married Greg 15yrs ago on Pearl Harbor Day...( history lesson to figure out date).

No marriage is perfect and if it was, it sure as hell would be boring! I still wouldn't trade him for the world. Awesome dad and can still make me laugh. He's pretty hot too !

Once, to my high school sweetheart. It just took a few years after we got out to realize we were right for each other. It will be 19 years in May.

Funny thing is, my mom was married and divorced 4 times! My grandparents however, were married for 60+ years until he passed away 10 years ago. I figure I've gotten a close up look at both sides. I prefer the side I'm on.

December 7th.....

not an official holiday, but considered a historical observance day. the navy conducts a memorial service at the USS Arizona memorial every year.

one of the 2 bells from the USS Arizona is now located in the new clock tower in the student union at the university of arizona. the other bell is on display at the memorial in Pearl Harbor. one of the anchors is on display at the AZ state capitol memorial park and the other is at the pearl harbor memorial.

this concludes today's history lesson 8)
