but BEG... is this little boy really screwed up now and scarred for life? i highly doubt it. no it shouldn't have happened but it did. did the girl really know what she was doing? i doubt it too... kids are great a mimicking adults without any real knowledge of what they're doing. my question to the little girl would be, why'd you do it?
I'd feel bad for you, but I have no soul.....

i wouldn't be asking her why. i don't freakin' care why. i'd ask her how in the hell she knew HOW.AlbatrossFlyer wrote:but BEG... is this little boy really screwed up now and scarred for life? i highly doubt it. no it shouldn't have happened but it did. did the girl really know what she was doing? i doubt it too... kids are great a mimicking adults without any real knowledge of what they're doing. my question to the little girl would be, why'd you do it?
Did the boy tell her it was a good idea?
Are her friends doing it?
Did she watch some of mommy and daddy's p***?
Does Uncle/Brother/Daddy/ have problems telling the difference between a woman and a young child?
Does mommy forget to close the door at night?

We doubt it to, which is why it is being downplayed as much as possible as to not have him dwell on it. Did she know what she was doing? I don't know, but judging by the description she gave it her best shot. And the fact that she had the knowledge to even attempt it is extremely disturbing...because how on God's green earth does an 8 year old girl find that out? Unless....AlbatrossFlyer wrote:but BEG... is this little boy really screwed up now and scarred for life? i highly doubt it. no it shouldn't have happened but it did. did the girl really know what she was doing? i doubt it too... kids are great a mimicking adults without any real knowledge of what they're doing. my question to the little girl would be, why'd you do it?
We can let it go and move on...but if abuse is indeed proven with the girl it will bring it back to the forefront and require a lot of questioning of the little boy. And THAT is what can cause problems, because then it is a big issue.

if you have kids your job is to keep stuff like that out of their view. And a kid seeing something like that for a second by accident, I don't think they'll copy it. They'll just forget about it.
I would worry about the boy. Sexualizing a kid too early screws them up and instead of being a kid they're on to other things. I'd ask an expert I trust whether it should be addressed or just minimized as much as possible. I doubt he'll forget it. Esp. since when the parents walked in on this I doubt they were calm.

OCG, the parents didn't walk in. No one knew until his mom overhead him telling some other kid about it, then she questioned him and contacted the girl's mother. He was pretty matter of fact about it, said it just seemed kinda yucky and moved on, there are far more important things in the mind of a 7 year old and there is a good chance he has forgotten it.
When confronted the little girl had a complete meltdown, but as of now I don't know much more than that. One would hope her mother is taking control and trying to get all the answers, but there are many who would just rather live in denial.
All kids are curious and experiment at some point in their young lives..but this is the youngest I've heard for something like this. I'm sure that doesn't mean it's unheard of though.

You're quite lucky. I was speaking to a realtive last weekend and she's telling me about her 5 yo g-daughter describing boys as "hot".buffettbride wrote:Still, the source of the problem is letting 2nd graders have access to that information. Even if that stuff is on as background noise while they play, they still retain it. That's just not the type of stuff kids should see and hear. While Clinton might have made it seem like oral sex isn't "sex" what the hell is a 2nd grader doing hearing about it?kitty wrote:While I agree that they think oral sex is "safer" than intercourse...I believe it is a combo of both. This has more to do with the "I'm having safer sex this way" and being able to claim sexual activity to their peers without sacrificing virginity and the moral high gound (!!)
And I agree with SS...we've created these monsters we call our future!
Now, I can honestly say that even my son, as young as he is, already expresses attraction to women. He knows what boobies are and knows he likes them. It's kind of frightening really. On the other hand, my daughter who is older and knows the ins and outs of reproduction wants nothing to do with that icky stuff. It involves boys, so therefore nothing good can come of it. I don't ever remember her expressing any kind of interest in any of that. Maybe the closest she came was asking in Kindergarten if girls could marry girls and boys could marry boys. I told her only in Canada and Massachussetts.
Are you kidding me??

I think I've said it here before. I walk past girls clothing in many stores and I'm muttering under my breath - "I'm so glad I only have a boy. I'm so glad I only have a boy".pbans wrote:I believe SS hit the nail right on the head.....
I went shopping for my four year old granddaughter.....I was surprised to see that little girls clothes are no longer little girls clothes....they are adult clothes shrunken.....in the toddler sizes obviously there are still cutesy things...but you get in to regular little girl sizes and it's kind of disturbing.
We live in a highly sexualized society......tits and a$$ are currency and our young women are learning that earlier and earlier.
I'm so fortunate that my 14 year old is level headed and truly age appropriate for the most part. We were talking the other day about music and she said she missed 'old music'....SHE is the one that mentioned 'back in the day' the Beatles "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"....and now it's all about down and dirty sex. She wondered why no one just wants to hold hands anymore.....
It's sad and frightening and makes me think perhaps the Amish are on to something......
Much of the clothing for girls is downright trashy
If I had a girl I suppose I would be ordering from LLBean, Land End and the like.

In all fairness I should add that Victoria has a crush on Ty Pennington from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but that's about it.jackiesic wrote:You're quite lucky. We're on the same page. I've bolded my first statement above to give it more emphasis.green1 wrote:If the parents had taught the children right from wrong and moral behavior this wouldn't have happened in the classroom. The fact that the teacher was absent is not the cause of the behavior, it was the absence that allowed the behavior to exhibit itself. The tacher should be disciplined for leaving a classroom unattended, nto for what happened inside it. That should be on the parents of, and the students who paticipated.Mr Play wrote:Yes the parents are responsible for teaching their children right and wrong, regardless of societal influences. But it is the school's responsibility to provide quality teachers, especially since most parents don't have the luxury of choosing the school or the teacher for their children.
