So, we were going to head back to Tinley park this year, but some issues came up and we are looking at Alpine. How does it compare and anyone know of any hotel that is moderately close that we could try? Thanks

Alpine Valley is I think one of the best places to tailgate. I'll be the one with the grill cooking. Come over to say high!. Really, most have a good time, pace yourselves. It's a long day. Don't count on leaving the lot early.

There are several hotels around East Troy... Otherwise, there are numerous cities along I43 that you could stay at. Milwaukee is about 45 minutes away also... if you need to go that route.

I'm from Wisconsin... unfortunately I can't go to Alpine this year... have to go to Dallas because of where I'll be at the end of this month.

Check the Alpine Valley topic on the 'concert gatherings'
