good thing.... that could have caused permanant damage.

Thinking of putting indoor/outdoor carpet on it!

How long until your huge deck is fully erect(ed)?
Hopefully in about a week! I wish sooner though, I am dying to have some people on it. (the more the merrier!!)
One should always celebrate having a fully erect deck! We'll all be looking for our invitations! :D :P

Are you kidding!?!?!?!? I'm calling my friends...... 8) 8)
Naaaaa, no need to call the doctor. Although my neighbors might get upset if we are too loud! Guess we will have to take preventative measures and have the neighbors on the deck too.

....heck, I have even heard of women who like NO deck at all. They are perfectly content with either a small patch of grass, or bushes

Flocks butt met it's match in the form of some cute keets this weekend in Raleigh. We'll all remember how it gave it's all right up until the "end"(so to speak) I'm just glad I got to see it once before it's demise.

I know there won't be any formal tribute since it has now been disbursed to the far reaches of the Walnut Creek lot but each of us can mark it in our own way.

Do we need to start a fund for a new one????

Ten Things in Life I’ve Learned From Jimmy Buffett Songs

We all learn certain lessons in life. Some of them come from our family, friends, or our teachers in school. Others come from musical artists. Over the years, I have become a huge “parrothead,” a fan of Jimmy Buffett’s music for those who don’t know. It is total escapism. Jimmy Buffett sings about the things most people dream about but never attain.
Escaping to the mythical Margaritaville sipping boat drinks with the belief that it is five o’clock somewhere, helps me get through even the most trying day. That’s why ten of the most important things in my life have been learned from the lyrics of a Jimmy Buffett song.

10. Billy Clyde wasn't insane! In fact, he sold everything and moved to the islands to live his dream.

9. Tonight I just need my guitar. Sometimes, it is the simple things that get us through the tough times.

8. Someday I will. Everyone can reach their dreams.

7. Breathe in, Breathe out, Move on. No matter how bad the situation is, I can get through it.

6. Life is just a tire swing. Keeping that child-like mindset keeps us young.

5. Come Monday, it'll be alright. Looking forward to a better day helps me get through the tough ones.

4. Incommunicado. Sometimes, it is best to just disappear and rest without the phone, television, or internet.

3. If we couldn't laugh, we'd all go insane. Laughter is the best medicine.

2. Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late. There are those of us who might have been more suited to a different frame of time.

1. Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I've had a good life all the way. Regardless of what happens, look back on everything as part of what makes you who you are and cherish the memories whether good or bad.
Not everyone appreciates or understands the musing of a sixty-something beach bum, but I believe there is a lot that can be learned by listening to these lyrics. After all, he has made a very successful career doing what he loves and helping those of us toiling away at our jobs find an escape. Grab a margarita and a cheeseburger, sit back, and listen. It creates a sense of peace only found in that One Particular Harbor.
Ohhh, I LOVE this!!! :wench:
Oh yes, me too, absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wench:
