I only got in late Friday and experienced the majority of what was offered. I missed the Friday night parties entirely.
Hooters was an excellent time. Their whole party was at the pool . . . Check it out.

Check around their site and find the pool photos. It was a nice time alot of balconies overlooking the pool were decorated.

The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Decorated, is that what you call flashing women? ...ok, so I didn't actually see any last year, but I heard the stories. I also heard one about a pool-side room with thin curtains. Kind of a shadow show, if you know what I'm saying.mjeischen wrote:I only got in late Friday and experienced the majority of what was offered. I missed the Friday night parties entirely.

The Last Man Standing event is a good one. I went to my first last year with some friends that have been to others. I believe we'll be attempting to go again.
The Hooters after-show was good. Stars on the Water, and yes, eventually Fingers, were cool.
The MGM pool party, just before the show is nice. But food would be good. Last year they had a private area that had food. Don't know what it takes to get in there, but eat before you go.
Margaritaville, you'd think it would get so packed that it would be uncomfortable, but it doesn't. I think the alley/street party they have has more people out there, then some inside. It's kinda up to you where you are, or maybe you roam.

I never saw flesh at Hooters. Damn it! There were legitimately decorated balconies though - if there was flesh I hope they won the contests.
MArgaritaville Street Party wasn't too crowded and I didn't feel in the bar was either. THey have the Margaritaville Food bus there and the food they were serving was good. I also had a Red Bull Margarita . . . It was damn good. It's all starting to come back to me now. I need these dates!
Perhaps the locals treat us like a biker gang and just stay away.

I was espeically impressed by the tall blonde. And congrats to your friends who passed the bar exam. Taking the bar was probably two of the most unpleasant days of my life.ohmyhell wrote:LIPH, my friends would be flattered to hear that you think they are an attractive lot. One of these days I need to make it to an east coast show. By the way, a couple of my friends just passed the NY bar! Yay for them!

I am glad to hear your tales via the board as a general post or a private message. I'm doing this trip right this year . . . I will spare nothing at the expense of a good time - okay I'll spare some but god help me it'll be tough.FINSUPinIdaho wrote:I have got some "Stories I could tell" about Vegas shows.![]()

This just in, from ANOTHER Vegas thread....

-Alley next to Margaritaville (and inside of course) pretty much every day.
However, you can still count on a pre-party....just look for the details to come after the dates become official!

Hey Jim, How are you doing? Had a great time in Key West. A funny story.
I took the Trails of Margaritaville tour the Wednesday I was there. Tim was our guide and by the end of the tour I had him totally drunk. I told him about Tonya in Vegas and how " damn it Donnie " came about and he said he's changing the tour name to the " Damn it Donnie Tour "

Vegas is always a good time!...I wonder where LMS will be now that Tommy Rockers is a strip club? Last year we went to both Vegas shows (Santa Barbara and San Diego as well...). we always go for the Friday before so we can either go to the LMS party or go hang at M'Ville. Last year the morning parties at Hooters (both weekends) were a lot of fun...then for us we went ot the street party and then the MGM pool party.....of course the walk out of the show is always entertaining with the mix of parrotheads and the general public....The second weekend show was funafterward because it was so close to Halloween and a lot of the clubs were having costume parties.....The after parties at Hooters were fun though not that many people were there (read as ..."nice, there's not so many people here" ) and we got the "show" within a show....the couple in the room above the pool....~Hippolyte~ wrote:Decorated, is that what you call flashing women? ...ok, so I didn't actually see any last year, but I heard the stories. Hmmmm.... I just looked at the Tommy Rocker's website....It doesn't mention anything about being a strip club.....or any changes......only thing I see that's significantly new is the "Tommy Tower" condos being advertized.....perhaps it is an ambush strip club.....you show up expecting one kinda show and get treated to a different show...pbans wrote:The_Polly_Roger wrote:What will it be called? Here's a Tommy Rockers story from last years concert.
So there was a group of 10 of us that went together to the SECOND Saturday (10/29) and- of course Last Man Standing had been held on the Friday of first concert.
So it's Friday night and we rent this limo with Buffett music blaring, sipping the Don Julio, etc., looking for the Parrothead action..stopped at Hooters (a country band)- not quite what we had in mind- danced a few and then headed to Tommy Rockers thinking something's gotta be happening there.
We get there and the place is almost EMPTY and there's Tommy Rocker solo with his guitar inviting people up to come sing with him. At first we're thinking what's wrong with this picture...but man it ended up being a hoot. It was a Buffett marathon of course... all 10 of us ended up of stage in some way or another..people singing backup or lead, playing different rhythm instruments, wearing various costumes. It was a very different sort of twist on the Last Man Standing but a great memory for all of us nonetheless.

There's wind in our hair
And there's water in our shoes
It's been a lovely cruise.

The first couplle of LMS parties (before they were called LMS) were very fun and crowded. I remember taking my Buffett virgin Girlfriend to one and Fingers was playing right in front of us, and she said "Who is this guy?" and I told her "Tomorrow, he will be about an inch high when you see him, cause our seats s***"...

Hello all! My 'keet Kai is doing a fundraiser as part of his 8th grade project. If you would like to participate please send funds via Paypal to marcusalden@msn.com.

Hello,
I am Dutch Harbor parakeet #1. I am going to Raffle off a Margaritaville Float Plane, liberated from the ‘05 Last Man Standing party at Tommy Rocker’s in Las Vegas; a 48” inflatable shark like those seen at the Santa Barbara, San Diego and both Las Vegas shows last year, and three 48” beach balls. The price for tickets is $1.00. All funds go to J.D.R.F (the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). The reason I am doing this is because I have diabetes and I want to help make a difference in the world of Diabetes. I have been given an assignment that says I have to help a fundraiser that interests me. I am 13 years old and I have had Diabetes since I was 4. This assignment is just the thing I have always wanted to do but I could never find the time so now I am going out there and I am going to help all the other people with diabetes. This is my second fundraiser; in the first one I raised $250. I’d like to top that this time. I have also been to a couple of concerts and know how well Parrot Heads support others.
Thanks!!!

IDa-Ho! IDA-Ho! Fins up! Idaho Jim, how's life been treating you up north with the new brood? Things in blessed Utah are pretty good. I was hoping for a Vegas show in the spring, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. So I ran into a girl at a bar tonight that asked me if I was in Vegas at the Jimmy Buffett show! She said she saw me bonging an excessive amount of beer. What a small world huh?
