I'm a newbie, having seen Jimmy for the first time last October in Las Vegas.

I would love to see him in Vegas again, so I searched the venue database here on BN (love it!) and saw that he plays the MGM almost every year, either in May or October.

I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea how far in advance these are usually announced? Has anyone heard any rumors?

TIA!

For phun I checked rates for the weekend of 10/27, and they aren't cheap as of this afternoon. Normal weekend rates at a couple of our favorite places are almost 3 times the "normal" weekend rates.

Not sure what else is going on, but if it's the 27th it may be a little pricey.

My brother produces/"stars" in a stand-up show at The Palms, so I have an "in" when I look for a place to stay, and so far, my in is out.

Everyone always says "family comes first", and I took that too far at last years 10/28 show in Vegas. I had a chance for some really good seats to the show, but turned them down to see my brother's stand up act. After it was over, he said I was an idiot for coming to see him when I could have seen Bubba. Next time, I'll see my brother after Jimmy's finished. :wench:

But do we have concrete word from any insiders!? Will it be 2 shows or 1? I've got the go ahead on this currently so I'd like to book before my wife changes her mind . . . .

Announcements seem to come in May for these dates so lets hope we don't have to wait too much longer.

same here, I finally talked the wife into celebrating my 30th bday (November) in Vegas with Jimmy.. but now all we need is dates. Hope to see everyone there.

Same here just waiting on something solid. We have 12 of us committed to head out there from PA. I think I have been spolied by the release of the summer dates all these years, this West coast swing is killing me.

I emailed in a favor to someone who used to do events at the MGM. She may know someone who knows. It's not a matter of if the show happens but when and how many of them. I can see booking one of the last 2 Saturdays only to learn that he's doing 1 Saturday and not the one I booked . . . . .
