I swear, it's my favorite white noise show.....
today they are making pool cues......it's kind of cool.....
I liked watching them make crayons. I think making crayons would be a happy job.....

They have a crayon-making thing on sesame street too, but since I don't have cable I've never watched it before.

I think I'd like to make crayons.

I saw that one......

I am trying to think of all the different episodes....some are cooler than others. Making tooth picks was a bit boring... but making zippers was pretty cool

I'm trying to steer my 7 year old son and 10 year daughter away from all the junk cartoons* they watch and into something we can watch together. They LOVE this show. We also watch MYTHBUSTERS (my favorite) and MEGABUILDERS (or something like that).

* to me this is all those weird Japanese cartoons that I just do not understand. It does NOT include Jimmy Neutron which I admit I have a weakness for watching :D

Mythbusters would be great with kids if they didn't drag it out so damn long

Jimmy Neutron would be great for adults if they had more character development.

Sheen and his UltraLord fixation.
Carl and his Llama fixation.
The tension and slowly developing undercurrent of a romance between Jimmy and Cindy.
The crush that Sheen has on Libby (and the wonderful fact that race is a non-issue).
Carl's forbidden love for Jimmy's mother.
Jimmy's dad and his love for pie and ducks.

C'mon. There's more plot and character development here than on LOST. :D

I love How it's Made. They show the oddest things. I've seen them making saddles, pool cues, wood trim, well just all kinds of things.

I love the concept, just hate the way it is produced. It reminds me of the sterilized movies that we watched in school. I can't get through an entire episode without moving on.

I love watching this when i get home. Womens pads, office furniture, chips, hearing aids, holograms, plastic asses, and everything else under the sun. I never cease to be amazed at the randomness of what they choose to show.

I started watching How It's Made on the Discovery Science channel a few months back. They seem to have moved it to the primary Discovery channel now, so I can get twice as much.

Agreed that the production of it is kind of boring, but sometimes when watching Made In America, John Ratzenberger can get a bit winded....so the blend of the two shows is good.

I can watch baseball bats being made four times a day, and I'm fine. For some reason I seem to like seeing how that's done.

I don't think I've ever seen this. It sounds a lot like Made in America w/John Ratzenburger (sp?) on the Travel Channel?

I do wonder why they don't show us how a machine is made, then show us what that machine makes. Give it some sort of theme; start to finish kind of thing.

Close. :) But they don't talk to people on this one.. just a guy describing each step of the making of something. :)
