Sunny Jim and Jim Morris were laid back and obviously having a wonderful time presenting a non rehearsed, casual show of their fan favs!
Hoards of party loving Parrotheads showed up.... completly taking the brand new...no soft opening trained wait and kitchen staff by surprise... which led to a way over capacity crowd. I am really glad the fire marshal didnt show up! But it was all good and everyone was having a great time despite crowds. The owners responded by offering free beer to those of us who waited several hours for food! Which by the way was really good when we got it!
The Jim's took the stage together and flipped a coin to see who would play first. The evening continued on that track with the guys taking turns belting out familiar tunes from their hit closet! There was even back to back Manatee songs... which no doubt has never been seen before!
Huge thanks to our very own fruitcks who saved us a table up front to which we were certainly the envy of everyone! Bob has an interest in the restaurant and was a gracious host!
I look forward to visiting Da Hukilau when I can enjoy a more sedate dinner... and try some of the authentic Hawaiian fare!
All and all it was a very fun night..... always great to spend time with good phrends, good music and good food!
