Sunny Jim and Jim Morris to open for New Clearwater Bar &

Da Hukilau bar and grill is scheduled for it's Grand Opening on Friday May 4th will headline Sunny Jim and Jim Morris at 8 PM. This restaurant was formerly a Beef O Brady's and is located off Mc Mullen Booth, just north of Ruth Eckerd Hall in the Publics shopping center. The new owner (a local Parrot head) will be converting the bar and grill into a Hawaiian theme offering casual fare and live entertainment on most weekends. I will certainly be there for this event. Think there still is. before this place was a beefs it was a bar called legends. Think you guys can come play in Clearwater for the night. You can crash in Lutz at our place if you want.

If I drive to Lutz I might as well drive home.....

maybe we'll recruit MID and Les...and carpool. Or maybe its a good weekend to stay on the beach .....

There you go, Great idea. We actually live in Cheval right off the veterans so not as far as it sounds. Sounds like a mini phflocking

Clearwater Beach is the closest Beach (10 miles maybe)...... but no hotels with in walking distance as I recall... We'll figure something out.....

I think there is a Holiday Inn on 60 and 19 very close by. I'll check it out and see what I can find.

I also think there is one on McMullen Booth/60.... where they tore that gas station down.... but I cant recall

Hey Gulf Breeze, kind of sort of but very casual and relaxed. No spam contest I can promise that. Not related to that site. The owner is working on a web site now. The menu will be Hawaiian based, but more surf and turf casual with lots of finger food stuff.
It is relativly small in size with a max capacity of around 200.

Hey folks, just an update. We have a web site (under contstruction) at Da-hukilau.com that has a mapquest link. There are several brand new hotels just to the North on highway 580 East of Rt 19 between 19 and Race Track road.
You might also like to know that we have booked John Frinzi for May the 19th a Saturday and hope to have these guys be regulars at this restaurant.
