Close.... I was an Explorer Scout.... my kids are still teenagers.... after a little all-expense-paid trip to the Far Side of the World, it became far more clear that life is short, and we should play hard.

If you guys are this hard on Kenny Chesney I’d dread to think what you all would say about the Boat Drunks. Personally I like Buffett, Chesney, and the Drunks…I think it would be great if these bands and others like it would have a Beachapalooza show

I think that it's cool that Kenny has heroes like Jimmy and that he is helping bubba spread sunshine.. NO BUFFETT THOUGH!! Still, I do enjoy some of his music.. I wouldn't boo him at all. I figured Jimmy has accepted him.. And that's good enough for me. I don't remember booing anybody at a show... I just get up and take a walk.

If nobody booed when Jimmy did that horrid Dave Matthews song Trippin' Billies 2 years ago I don't think they'd boo Chesney.

actually, I like the Drunks. Have seen them several times. It's a matter of scale. They are a trop-rock band who covers Buffett songs as well as doing their own. Cheeseney wants his people to think he's original.

and there is nothing new under the sun.

Truer words have never been spoken (or typed).
M.K. "You should never use any of the 13 bad words!"
S.T. "I thought there were only 7 bad words?"

I like several of Kenny's songs. I am not a huge fan however..... but

so what..... I mean really..... so what? If thats what he wants to do in life... so be it. The man is making a living... isnt that the objective? Either enjoy his music or dont..... no one is forcing you.

The Monkees wanted to be the Beatles
The Brady Bunch really were the Partridge Family
Seals and Croft wanted to be Loggins and Messina.... or is that the other way around....

This has been going on for decades.... Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
