Baltimore, Maryland - Camden Yards
I will be making my first trip to Camden Yards this year and was wondering what a good hotel might be close to the ball park and any good bars nearby? Thanks. Phins.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

There is a Courtyard in the Inner Harbor and a regular Marriott near Eutaw Street (I think it's called the Marriott Camden Yards).
I always go to Max's diagonal from the Convention Center. I don't remember one of the cross streets but it is two blocks from the Camden Yards.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

You're welcome. There is a bar right across the street from Camden Yards but can't remember the name of it. If I do, I'll let you know.drunkpirate66 wrote:thank you kindlyaeroparrot wrote:There is a Courtyard in the Inner Harbor and a regular Marriott near Eutaw Street (I think it's called the Marriott Camden Yards).

It used to be a just another hole-in-the-wall pub several blocks from the inner harbour. Then they built Camden Yards right across the street and ....... now its the a hole-in-the-wall pub for pre-game and post-game drinks.

Re: Baltimore, Maryland - Camden Yards
I stayed at the Holiday Inn at Inner Harbor back in Feb and it wasn't bad at all. It's also within walking distance ( 3 or 4 blocks from Camden). Be sure to visit the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum when you're there too as I know most Red Sox fans love it there...drunkpirate66 wrote:I will be making my first trip to Camden Yards this year and was wondering what a good hotel might be close to the ball park and any good bars nearby? If you don't want to stay IN the city, and you're coming from
the north, you could get a room at Timonium. It's just north
of Baltimore a few miles up interstate 83. They have a light rail
system that will take you right to Inner Harbor (Pratt St. station) or
right off at Camden Yards (Camden Yards station). I've done this
many times. The rail ticket is only about 2 bucks and a police car
patrols the lot where you park. The only drawback is I think the last
train pulls out around midnight. While in Inner Harbor you might
want to take the water taxi over to Fells Point and check out the
Green Turtle Pub. But there's alot of places to eat and drink right in
Inner Harbor.

for a more upscale dining experience try M & S Grille. Cheesecake Factory is good but always crowded. Stop by the fudgery in harborplace to get fudge.
I too have ridden the light rail. we take that to the ravens games. It drops you off right in front of the orioles stadium as well.
enjoy a hotdog at camden yards also. its expensive but well worth it. drink your beer before you come in, its a fortune inside.
