Maybe the book is real, and that the sister, ( the housekeeper ) stole the book from the Buffett residence in Palm Beach Florida.

I was curious and checked the guy's feedback, too. Very strange that this is the first item he has ever sold, and his purchases are too far back to see what his habits are. ("Stop thinking like a cop, dammit!") I noticed one of the earlier sellers to him deals in autographs though.

As for "Stars On The Water", JD never recorded that one. (Also a big JD fan here.) It would have sounded great though, if he had.

“His housekeeper felt that because the book was still in good condition that it would be appropriate to donate it to the library. This item is legally my property, as affirmed by an attorney at law.”

So is he telling us that he went out of his way to seek out an attorney, pay the attorney, (what attorney, who’s attorney) because this book is so valuable. And do this just to say that he is the sole owner of the book?

“( I am also grateful to his housekeeper for getting him to sign a CD jacket for me, which I proudly display in my home.)”

And what does this have to do with anything?

I was going to just send a message....I think that maybe $500 is to much, I'm sure that's what he's hoping for. My guess is $375. I was wondering if we should start by calling on all group members to look at the site and drive the Looked At Counter way up.

Hi, and thanks for your interest in the item. The reserve for this item is $900.

Glad to hear you're a Parrothead. You may not believe this, but I used to have a loveseat from his house. When my sister was working for him, her boss was told to discard this loveseat, and she told my sister about it, who gave it to me. I had it from 1998 to 2004. It was very nice, but I passed it to my family. She also got lots of toys and clothes that his kids grew out of, and passed it on to my sister for her kids.

I just lucked out with this book, though. I'm sorry I have to sell it.

Anyway, just thought you'd like the story.

I have been a Parrothead since before we had a "name". I met Jimmy for the first time this past Feb... he autographed several item for my friends and I. Sorry.... but good luck with getting $900.

Boy this guy is really something, nine hundred dollars, that will buy a lot of weed. And I’m sure he’s doing that plus a bunch of other mind altering things if he thinks he’s getting anything close to that.
