Geez, how bland is that? No history; no housekeepers; no loveseats or sisters.
I guess it really is true: you get what you pay for. $900 for so much history behind an autographed gift from one enormously famous musician to another makes such a better story, doesn't it? I'm thinkin' that $900 reserve is a bargain now!

Bidding update: With 1 day 14 hours we now have a high bid of Three Hundred Dollars and nine bids total. Our boy is a third of a way to his Nine Hundred Dollar mark……Will he take it, or will greed and stupidly take over? Again it’s still early but I would have to say that he’ll be eaten cheeseburgers next week. OH by the way the This is a private listing on ebay. Your identity will not be disclosed to anyone except the seller.
Ya we wouldn’t want to let the Whole World Want To Know What A d*m Fool You Are…….

Bidding update: Well this is it folks, the day of reckoning. As of 6:00am cdt we sit with a high bid of Three Hundred Dollars still, with the same 9 bidders, and 13 hours left in the bidding. My Guess is that our boy will most likely not make his nut for the day. Does he keep the Money, our hold on to this one of a kind Treasure. I had thought that most of the bidders for this item were John Denver fans and that Buffett fans would never be this gullible, but I just found out that the 9th bidders eBay name is Piece Of Work.

Final Bid Update: At 7:00pm CDT the bidding has ended, with the final bid of Four hundred five dollars and 11 bids total. Just under five hundred short of the reserve asking price. You ask yourselves will our guy take it? Well I hope to have an answer for you all, I left him this email:
Dear Tylerboy;
A bunch of us Jimmy Buffett fans have been monitoring your John Denver Book with baited breath. We’ve found the item very compelling as well as the story behind it. I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for us.
Of the 11 bidders do you know if more were John Denver, or Jimmy Buffett fans?
With the final bid of $405 and the reserve not met, were you surprised, disappointed , or was it close enough to the reserve to just let it go.
Thanks and hope to here from you, as well maybe sometime down the road bid on something you selling. I’m a big Buffett fan, but I’m not much into John Denver, hence I didn’t bid on it.

Well here you have it right from the man himself.....
Thanks for you interest in the item. Yes, I was surpised that the highest bid was relatively low. Unfotunately, I haven't had the time to check the background bids of the bidders to know if they were Buffett or Denver fans. Also, I may relist the item, with a nominal reduction in the reserve amount. I could be characterized as an "emotional" seller rather than a "rational" seller with regard to this item. I am unwilling to sell it for less than a certain amount (the reserve). I'd rather keep the item, or even donate it to charity, than sell it for less than what I believe is reasonable value. Thus,if I don't relist it, I'll probably keep the item well into the future, and possibly put it up for sale then. I have been marketing the item to both Denver and Buffett fans on fan sites across the internet, which has probably raised the value by now. Thanks again for your interest.
Thank you very much for the return response, as a group (Jimmy Buffett fans)we wish you nothing but the best weather you list it or not. Like I said before we found the item so interesting that we were curious as to it’s status We also look forward any listings you mite have in the future.
