My "adopted" goddaughter has it - she is 14. Beautiful girl - but a handful ..... she has a severe form of it .... I know some other people with kids with it - and they are just a little withdrawn socially and have their "obsession" with one thing.
Its really tough on the parents and when I head up to Queensland to visit - I send the parents out for dinner for rare "mum and dad time" and I babysit the kids (at 14 - she needs constant care) - its tough going - but I enjoy doing it for my friends and they need the time away.

I clicked. I forwarded. It was awesome.
My oldest son is on the Austism Spectrum. Thankfully, he is high functioning and most people, outside of family, would not notice or would write off the peculiarities that make up this complex child. His autistic disorder is a part of him, just like his blond hair and green eyes. Its who he is and we just help him learn to deal with the challenges he faces.
Thanks to all who take the time to go back and watch the video.
