Last year we stayed near by cause the rooms at Mohegan were very high.

Meant Foxwoods. There are no rooms available in Mohegan for the 30th.

I am thinking about coming to this one, than heading up to Foxboro for the Sunday show

In anticipation of Mohegan, I booked a room on 8/30 at the BW Cristata.

Anyone else book a room and where?

How bad/good is the Cristata?

1/2 mile to Mohegan is close enough for me.

We went back in 2005...the first year at Mohegan....
It reminded me of a mini-Great Woods.

Minus the outdoor concert afterwards.

I was going to stay there, looked nice but it booked up. We are at the Microtel which had rooms left. These are the 2 closest hotels. If anyone needs a room I would book something soon. Last time we wound up in Groton which was like 15 minutes away and we maybe shouldnt have been driving that far...

I will be staying at mi casa... It's this fabulous place about 30 mins - 45 mins from Mohegan.... I can't rationalize getting a room because I'm within reasonable driving distance from the venue. Heck 2 years ago, I drove home after the GW concerts - a 2ish hour drive. Anything to see JImmy I guess!!!

When it gets closer we should all plan something for the night before. A group of us all got together last year. Met up for drinks at Summer Shack. (And even met up with some of the crew guys....)

I love the Mohegan concert!

If I do come down, I was hoping to take Amtrak down, have a room at Mohegan Sun so I can see the concert and then gamble then not have to worry about driving.

Do they allow camper parking ? If we get there the night before & say we're gambling, would they allow us to stay in the lot ? We doing Mohegan then heading to Gillette for the Sunday show.

I'm almost positive that the lot where the tailgate will be set up is the usually truck/camper parking lot. I think a few of my friends last year took their camper the night before and just stayed in the parking lot the night. I didn't hear them saying anything regarding any issues they had. Maybe there's something on the website regarding this...

RVs and oversize vehicles can park at the Winter surface lot. There are no hook-ups.

so you'll be fine.... the Winter lot is where the tailgate is... see ya there!

I know what I will be doing Monday morning. Had to sell my GW tickets so Mohegan is a must.

Got right in for tickets at 10:01. Very poor seats at $250.00+ a pop. I'll skip this show and will invest the funds in more tailgaiting goodies for Gillette.
