FIRST TIMER
I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A BUFFETT CONCERT! I WILL BE GOING ON APRIL 21 AND WILL BE TRAVELING FROM OUT OF TOWN. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO GET THERE FOR PARKING AND PARTYING?

He's right....you shouldn't pass out until AFTER the concert! Make sure you're able to cruise around the parking lot and take it all in.Bubbaphan wrote:Whatever you do...PACE yourself...you don't want to miss the show!![]()
Oh, and welcome aboard!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Remember not to get TOO much sun.
If you absolutely have to get wasted, do it around lunchtime and spend the afternoon coming down to a nice relaxing buzz just in time for the show.
EAT.
Dress accordingly, and don't let anyone shame you out of cheezy hats, beads, leis, etc. No matter how crazy you dress for a Buffett concert, rest assured there will always be SOMEONE dressed crazier and/or doing something crazier.
HAVE FUN and welcome to BN!

I am another first timer going to my first Buffett concert in Houston. I have been a longtime fan though since my college days. This is my first time to a concert because, in times past, I have always tried to go see Jimmy whenever he came to Houston, but he was always sold out or tickets were just too expensive. (I am a teacher/coach and therefore don't make much.
) However, I was able to enter a contest online through the Houston Chronicle newspaper and I won some tickets to see JB!!!!
WHOO-HOOO!!! I can tell ya, I was dancing for the next 2 days and all of my co-teachers are jealous...

WHAT'S WITH THE YELLING
I'M TRYING TO PACE MYSELF HERE
Seriously, don't hang in one place, check out the entire parking lot, stop and play the games, chat with others, enjoy yourself, you don't have to be falling down drunk to have a great time; that's my calling
