Agree - we saw Peter Frampton at the "theatre" - the fancy place where they usually do theatre and opera and such. We had great seats but decided NOT to try to bring a camera. We could have had great pics - oh well.LIPH wrote:Back to the question about cameras. I think it's more how the artist feels about it than the venue. I saw Martina McBride in Radio City Music Hall earlier this month and people were walking down the aisles right to the front of the stage taking pictures all night. She didn't mind so the ushers didn't stop anyone.
Lots of people had cameras there - one woman came down eisle to take a picture and the ushers tried to physically stop her - Peter interjected and made several comments about "it was ok - he didn't think she was a terrorists - it is ok if people want to take some pictures". He kind of really chastized the usher (some nice retired lady who probably was following the rules she knew).
After that, it was a parade of people taking pics in the eisles - people were really gracious and polite and took their turn and then went back to their seats, usher lady was restationed and concert was great (and I was still mad we played by the rules!).
