I DON'T WANT TO WAIT IN VAIN ... Peter and the group sound fabulous! Robert's pans are wonderful. This might be my 4th favorite of the whole show ...
TONIGHT I JUST NEED MY GUITAR
BALLAD OF SPIDER JOHN
IN MY ROOM
I DON'T WANT TO WAIT IN VAIN ....
Thank you, Jimmy and the Coral Reefers who were on the stage in Houston. (There you go, Larry)
I just finished listening to the show -
A Pirate Looks At Forty/Redemption Song may be my favorite new arrangement of a great old Buffett song. They did that at the Anguilla show too, I hope that means it's going to be a staple on this year's tour.
I so agree, Larry. It is awesome, too.

"Wait In Vain" with Peter was very good! I had been tired of that song for years after listening to that tape/CD over and over....Peter and Robert revived that one and it sounded very fresh! Sounds like they need another Club Trini CD...right??

Ken Hoffman of the
Houston Chronicle has posted his
Comments on the JB show in a COMBINATION article.
Comments on the JB show are about 1/2 way through the article with the first half being on a charity bicycle event to raise funds for MS.
Except for a hacking cough by the featured entertainer, the Jimmy Buffett concert Saturday night at Minute Maid Park was a beer-guzzling, beach-ball-tossing, island-swaying, outfield-sparing, "kids, now that's a rock star" success.
The ballpark was packed with 40,000 fans who knew every word to, well, most of the tunes. Buffett performed three songs for the first time in concert — opening with On the Road Again and working Reggabilly Hill and Cinco de Mayo in Memphis into the 2 1/2 hour set.
I was surprised to hear the Beach Boys' In My Room and Tonight I Just Need My Guitar as encores.
Your soo right.

I think you're suffering from a case of "No venue will ever rival what we saw on Rendezvous Bay" -itis!
But really it was just off. But then again i was not on the floor, or on the beach

I was shocked by the amount of people not into the show in my section. Young people my age sitting in their seats and we all were dancing and singing in the row. As a huge Texas country fan as well, it was great to see REK open the show. When jimmy started off the show playing On the Road Again, I knew it was going to be a good show. Shows like this only happen in Texas. I’m personally glad he has been changing up his set list. As much as I love the popular songs, I’m more of a fan of his old stuff. I thought it was a great mixture of eras. And the BN tailgate was one of the best tailgates I’ve ever been too. It was top notch all around. Thanks Janice. The only thing I was hoping for was a duet with both JB and REK, but oh well. By no means am I complaining about the show. Wish I could go to the Dallas show, but my profs wont let me skip my exams.
It was the same in the 200 section I was in. Nobody was dancing except for the individuals around me, and that was mainly because we got them up to dance. I was a little disappointed in that, especially since many of the women were dancing in their chairs, and there wasn't enough of me to go around!!!

Hey everyone...new guy on the site here in the Houston Area. Minute Maid was my first Buffett show. I had a great time, thought it did echo a bit in the park though. The guy behind us kept yelling at us to sit down when we were dancing, so we finally moved to a different section. spider John was great, a highlight for me. I lov that song. Just wanted to say hi to everyone here.

Welcome to the madness, Jawn ... you'll love it here.
SPIDER JOHN and NORTHEAST TEXAS WOMEN were real standouts for me ... and the encore? Well, that was perfection...
Come on up to Dallas on Saturday.

Welcome to BN!
I was lucky enough to be near the front for this one, and the front sections were up dancing most of the show
