I was wondering if Jimmy has had an big opening acts besides like Jake and other people? Not really like a big but just someone to open up.

How was the opening guy in Houston (sorry, forget his name)? Is he gonna be on rest of tour? I never heard of any warm ups for any other shows.

I was told Robert Earl Keen did this as a favor to Jimmy and only for Houston.

That's kinda what I thought....Is he any good? I never heard of him.

We have lots of good music in Texas.

Some of the world's best artists are less known. I think Robert Earl Keen certainly qualifies. He's a great songwriter and has a decent singing voice. Maybe he's better known in Texas.

I agree....even though the sound was awful last night, REK has real talent.

I've seen Bonnie Riatt, Livingston Taylor, Rita Coolidge, Fingers and Little Feat as opening acts if my old man memory serves me correctly

The only opening acts I remember were The Iguanas and Marshall Chapman. But I didn't go to my first Buffett concert until 1987 or'88.

Yep...I've seen Todd Snider open...and The Neville Brothers...

Way back in the early 80's, I saw Little Feat open for Buffett. When they left the stage, half the audience left too!

Alan Jackson and George Strait opened for him at Texas Stadium!

Loved it when Mrshall Chapman and Tim Krekel opened for Jimmy.

Also saw Todd open for Jimmy...what a brat he was!! (I love Todd like a son.)

I don't think he needs an opening band????
