Margaritaville - Lost Verse?
I was just looking through the songs list and it said the last time he played the lost verse was in Irvine in 2002 and i was just wondering when he usually plays it or if its for special occasions? i dont think he plays it for special occasions because he didnt play at the wrigley or fenway shows and i would guess those would be special. And i wouldnt think a 30 second long verse would matter so i was just wondering if theres a reason as to why he doesnt play it?

You Had to be There contains the first recorded version of Margaritaville that includes the lost verse (on that version, the lost verse was followed by the chorus - on subsequent recorded versions, the last verse directly follows the lost verse with no chorus in between). That era's version of Margaritaville also included references to "pain" and "cocaine" instead of "blender" and "render" in the last verse.

When's the last time he included only one broken leg?
On YHTBT he only mentions the one fracture.
As an old man in tank top, I kind of miss not hearing the lost verse very often.

This is the first version of Margaritaville I ever heard/learned.
The only version we played at the little bar I worked at...
in 1979-80!
And still my favorite!

Life is short... forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.
