I was a bit surprised to not hear a live version of "Here We Are" at Houston...anyone else?
I was really hoping to hear Bubba and the gang play it rather than the video...the tour is still early I guess.

I have to say that I'd be pretty surprised to hear it live. I think part of the reason to play the song at concerts at all is to be able to showcase the video that goes with it (and give the band a little break).
That being said, I'd LOVE to hear it live. It's such a wonderful song.

I kept hoping to hear it during the concert. There were a couple I could have done without if it meant trading that song for Here We Are

I was real freakin drunk in Cinci last year, but I'm still pretty sure that was just a video they showed.

I hope we don't. It's mediocre song, and Buffett can hopefully fill that song slot with a better song.

it isn't about the song so much as the message.. License to Chill or Why Don't We Get Drunk... those are mediocre songs that could get dropped for something better.

A message? It's just a silly song

I like seeing the video before the encores, hope he brings that back. Playing the song live with a video backdrop like CILCIA would work, too, but I think the visuals are what makes it neat. Everybody just havin' a good time...

Ouch. "Silly"? Come on, dude. Like it or not, we're lucky to be fans of an artist that cares enough about his fans to record such a song. Agreeing with R2 and saying it's not about the song, it's about the message it conveys.

It doesn't really matter WHAT he plays.
Either way, we ALL listen to it and we usually LOVE it.
That is the reason we continue to communicate on this site.
