Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ga., because it's down the road from me, on the banks of the Chattahoochee, and it holds about 25,000-plus for concerts. The company that produces his concerts has a contract to bring concerts to this city, usually at the Civic Center next door, but said they think Buffett would love to play a place like Memorial. Plenty of places to tailgate. And, hey, it's only about a half-hour from his first college stop of Auburn.

I would have to say any veneiw in Vancouver BC. My other choise would have to be Mountainfest http://www.mountainfest.com now that would just be to cool!
I don't really have a fantasy, but I'm sure it would be somewhere in the northeast. He just likes us better. For the thin-skinned among us, that was a joke.
Maui Arts and Culture Center ... for BN'ers only ... Yes. That is GRASS on the ground ... no concrete ... and as long as we're dreaming, let's kick in a week at the Grand Wailea Resort for everyone, too.
Grand Wailea Resort
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.

You know, I've said this one out loud. Put Jimmy on a stage at a major racetrack and open up the infield to tailgating behind the stage. "Don't Stop the Carnival" .....make the tailgate a part of the show

Grand Wailea Resort
You beat me to it.....
The Grand Wailea will be great for visitors.... However, I'm gonna make a quick trip from my cottage on the North Shore of Oahu, or in the wilds of Moloka'i.

In Santa Cruz they have a free concert series every summer and have a stage where bands play to people on the beach and on the boardwalk. It's a fantasy, but would love to see Jimmy play on the beach. How perfect is that?
Wouldn't happen, though. There's no way to charge tix and he's too big... Still if the show was only advertised on BN... I wouldn't tell the outsiders...would you?
Red Rocks and Fort Zachary Taylor ... both excellent.
For me, it'd be Chastain Park (ATL) because then I could actually GO and not leave me 'keets at home. Like James Taylor sang about in That's Why I'm Here ... "got my baby, got my blanket, got my bucket of beer."
It's the bring a picnic basket and a bottle of wine kind of place.

From what little I know you, I think you DO have a fantasy...

I don't think Chastain would be very conducive to a Buffett show. Too small seating wise, and the crowd is generally too stuffy for a Parrothead gathering. Add that to the fact that most of the people that live around there would pitch a fit with the crowd that would roll in and stay all day.
I think a great place for Jimmy to play would be an Auburn show. The university is building a new student center to replace Foy Union - it is supposed to open next year, I tihnk in the fall. I think that Jimmy should play a show there to help celebrate the grand opening, since people say that he used to sit on the steps at Foy and play guitar when it was a student for that one semester there.
