Sweet- too bad its not a weekend date, but hey- I'll take two anyday.

You know, last years MSG had alot of empty seats around us- hopefully he doesn't decide to charge 200 a pop for the lower level/floo seats this time too! That was a bit much... With two shows, I would guerss the prices come down a bit.

Guess he gets to "use" his penthouse apartment!

Castro is still playing in Cuba, but the homefield advantage isn't what it used to be.

That was brutal. I paid $90 (inc TM service charges) for seats in the 400s.
Luckily I noticed some of those empty seats in the 200s and was able to slip in with no hassle.

I don't believe they do, probably because of the amount of Knick and Ranger season ticket holders. Plus there are so many concerts at MSG that it wouldn't have the same effect that a pre-sale at a stadium like CBP in Philly would have.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Sign up for Backstage Access - it's free.

http://msg.myprefs.com/?@MSG_Newsletter ... me=&email=

Just signing up gets you pre-sale access to many (not all) events at MSG owned venues. Not sure if Jimmy will be part of it. I really hope ticket prices will be more reasonable than last year but I am not holding my breath.

If I remember correctly, Jimmy typically only has pre-sales at the stadium shows. I don't think there have been pre-sales at any of the arenas or sheds.

As for ticket prices, the shows that have already been announced this year are priced the same as last year, there's no reason to believe MSG would be any different.

Ouch. As far as the Backstage Access pre-sale - it is a venue presale not the artist. Most arenas/sheds don't offer presales unless its Amex or thru the artist i.e. Ratdog, Allmans etc.

Oh darn, I'll have to miss this this year- I'll be away on vacation then. At least I got tix for Boston.

And yes, there were weird pockets of empty seats at MSG last year, and many upper level peeps migrated down from the 400 level with no checking of tickets, no hassles. Something to keep in mind when ticket purchasing... [smilie=whistle.gif]
