Why I listen

Post by bumper »

oh it has been many a moon I've been listening to JB and the CRB'ers. I have been to many a concert many with good friends and a few concerts with those of questionable moral and intellectual character, most of them I avoid while others I find still amusing, some of them I still call friend though I have seriously outgrown the pranks of young adulthood.

I've had Surius satellite installed, though I still cannot say it let alone spell it. I have the #1 tuned into the ever reliable Margaritaville and by the same token as the numers fall so does my enthusiam for what Sirius or whatever it is has to offer. NFL season is good but don't they make a screen that does not require me to remove my sunglass in order to see the Fu*(ing score??. Put a man on the moon an all but........ass**les.

And JB is the only reason I had Seerius installed, I mean really, what does the Legendary KLOS 95.5 offer that Serious does not? well, Jimmy Buffett or a fascimele of the great Bubba. Recently I've purchased a new truck it has no suurios satellite, not even Onstar. Simple minded as it is, it offers only 24 FM stations, boast a single cd changer, which is all I can listen to at one time anyway and a few AM NEWS stations. No JB all the time..what f**k will I do with all my spare time??....Watch the Daly Show??

Today, for the first time I actually missed listening to RM...I had to fu**kin pppppppinch myself just to make sure I was awake, !!!!! miss JB's music...what a crock of sh*t. I miss getting laid of Friday nights at the local water hole without the fear of catching AIDS, I miss Ozzie and Harriet and Bonanza and the Wonderful World of Disney but to miss JB's music in comparison....Bullsh^^t

But, I've got to admit there is something about the guys style, oh hell with the lifestyle, he works harder then 90% of us. Only reason he sang about the Caribbean is because he dreams like the rest of us. We all in da same boat sailor!!!!!....but I think I got it figured out, the miss part, because its consistent, it is persistant, its fun, its predictable and its there at my whim and fancy and I know exactly where I am going when I dial it up. Anywhere but where I am at the current time. Even Skynyrd could not do with Freebird what Jimmy did with Desperation Samba. Escape me Scotty,,,beam me the F*ck up.
