I came across an interesting article about 9 to 5 or Work marriages. In the job I'm in now this is a very real thing and in fact I have a work wife and now a work mistress. Never had an office job before but it seems this is a big thing atleast in my office. anyone else?

They aren't real realtionships in the traditional sense, just a social work thing.

I had both too.. they are now on other teams and I don't get to see them as often

now.. well I see one starting..

i've dated people i've worked with on a few occasions but no commitment......but that article sounded like people that need to get a life....that i couldn't do!!!.....too uncomfortable and too much gossip!!

I changed jobs.....and we moved apart, we ARE STILL together!

I know it's weird to quote yourself but my interpretation of it is that work relationships aren't real ones, It's kind of a new thing to me as when I was in hotels it's not quite as social in such a confined space....

really yep. I see more of those people than I do anyone else
and they,Me, I know about their kids,dogs,cats,fish
I know their Shopping days.. and they mine. We dish on movies
places to eat.. medical issues.

no work teams.. we don't work at the same times anymore..
also I am in a new section so I no longer have breaks,and lunches
with them

I dont get close with the people I work with. Never really have. Work is work...... Of course I live by the motto that one shouldnt have too much personal stuff @ the office.... it should all fit in one box!!!
